    How do you target successfully?

I posted on this problem of mine in tech support recently and got no replies, so I'm thinking that this problem is with the way I play.

I am finding it extremely difficult to target party members who need to be healed. F keys seem to be unreliable. For instance, I used f2 to heal my friend but the cursor locked onto a mob in the next room (in Nanawa Mines). And I'm often unable to go from targeting a party member w/one f-key directly to targeting another member. When you use the f-keys in this way, do you find it always necessary to press escape after you have completed an action on each of the party member targets?

This is confusing to me, and although I do feel very foolish, I'd appreciate your feedback on this so I know how much is me poorly adapting to the game's targeting system, to what extent I am complicating the matter for myself and then what you all do. Right now, I'm thinking of just using curagas to heal but don't care for the idea if curaga is not necessary for two or more party members.

Thanks! I hope this post is clear. If not, let me know and I will try to clarify.

Are you trying to hit the F keys after selecting cure on the action bar? Or are you using a macro that casts Cure on your current target? If it's the latter you might want to change the macro to <stparty> instead of <t> so you can hit the macro, then select a target.

    Make the following macro:

    /ac "Cure III" <stpc>

Hit the macro to "load" the cure spell, then single click on someone's name in your party list, or press enter to cure yourself.

Only two "clicks" and no F keys.

I've healed party members by using the number key to select the spell and then clicking on their name in the party list since this feature was implemented. It seems to work pretty well.
