    Which should make them a bit more of a yoyo tank than Warriors and with less HP, since when they take damage, they take more damage than PLD/DRK, without the WAR hp buffer. But on the other hand, with boosts to both evasion and parry, they should (in theory) take damage less often.

    Still, since the damage reduction is only during those 4 seconds of "animation lock"/channeling, it's fair enough.

    But I am more than slightly concerned by the lack of Provoke. And that their only AoE Enmity skill is something with a cast time and deals damage. (That's one thing Flash is perfect for -- increasing enmity without dealing damage, which is excellent for those times when you have sleeping mobs you don't want to wake up ^^) That it does more damage than Overpower and especially Unleash is fair enough, considering it has a cast timer, but without an instant-cast AoE Enmity skill, it would most likely cause issues in parties where the party members are used to those instant-cast AoEs and time their own attacks/heals to that, resulting in attacking or healing before the RDM has aggro on them all.
    Warriors don't rely on RNG though. They can get damage reduction when they need it. 25% max health and 20% additional healing is a different form of mitigation.

    Dark Knight's got what they needed, I am sure Red Mage will have "some kind of Provoke." I will make one! =D

    Provoking Thunder:
    Deals lightning damage with potency of 50.
    Additional Effect: Lightning damage over time with a potency of 50 for 18s.
    Gesture threateningly, placing yourself at the top of a target's enmity list.

    I'm not sure about tying free damage onto a provoke like Ability. It seems likely people would spam it for free damage.

    Which is quite true (it's just the usual argument made, that somehow Warriors are OP cos they have so much HP they don't need Vit gear, for example). But if you're planning on making RDM into an avoidance tank (which it looks like with that kind of bonus from their tank stance), they would rely a lot on RNG.

    Um... Yes, Dark Knights "got what they needed". They can cross-class Provoke.

    On one hand, it's annoying that all tank classes seem "required" to have Gladiator as one of their cross-classes, and I wish that they'd at least add a third cross-class to all jobs. But on the other hand, until they fix that it's something we have to take into consideration when proposing various job templates.
