False. I sometimes enjoy PLD, but every time I try to play my WAR my eyes start to bleed with boredom.
Obviously, to each their own.
not liking the playstyle doesn't make it boring. i no longer like how BRD plays that doesn't mean i call it boring, i use "clunky" as the default descriptor.
that does not reinforce the position that tanking in general has to be boring. there isn't anything mechanical about WAR or melee DPS that makes one more boring than the other besides not having to move from flank to rear. and if you're saying you're okay with PLD, than you don't even have that.
What? I don't even understand your retort. However, you said that a DPS who finds WAR boring is due to tanking responsibility and not the job design itself. I am saying that I am 1 example which contradicts that, proving it a false statement.that does not reinforce the position that tanking in general has to be boring. there isn't anything mechanical about WAR or melee DPS that makes one more boring than the other besides not having to move from flank to rear. and if you're saying you're okay with PLD, than you don't even have that.
i didn't say that, i said they are lying when they say that. if you can enjoy PLD, you can't be an example.
that's not what technically means.
Not replying to the first part, because your argument has become even more confusing.
As for technically, I did not define before. I simply used the term. However, if you'd like a definition:

strictly speaking, if there's a casting bar to most of their actions they are a caster. if knockbacks and movements make them lose most of their actions they are a caster. Not replying to the first part, because your argument has become even more confusing.

i guess the real test is, what happens when a BRD gets silenced, can they still use what you call "skills" under Wanderer's Minuet.
I think for sanity we (as in the average player) use the term caster to refer to non-physical damaged based damage dealers whose abilities require a cast time, so in that sense BRD and MCH as ranged dps but not referred to as "casters" on most occasionsstrictly speaking, if there's a casting bar to most of their actions they are a caster. if knockbacks and movements make them lose most of their actions they are a caster.
