I was thinking about this song lately.
Me and my brother are arguing in which perspective you can see this song.He says that,now we know about tiamat,that the female voice can be her and the lower male voice can be the meracydian Dragons,which suffered from the allagan empire and the sin that they summoned Bahamut.

I say that cant be because answers is the main theme from 2.0 and reffer the fight between hydaelyn and the ascians.The female voice is hydaelyn and the lower male voice are the ascians.
The 2.1-2.55 story explained why the Ascians dont like Hydaelyn and (suffer) from her.So it explains very much the song.

The song is very open, so lots of interpretations have been made over time - from it being about the dragons to the ascians to the players themselves. I, myself, have always figured that - since it was made in 2009-ish to be about Tanaka's version one, that it was primarily Hydaelyn, the Children of the Land (us), the primals, and the cycle of the eras. I'd ramble on about it for several pages, but there's a music & lore panel live from PAX tomorrow and we might get some Answers then. Pun intended.

I hope so. This song has driven me nearly insane a few times, trying to decipher it...

Ugh well just so it's clear the song Answers was the main theme of 1.0 so unless the Accians wer going to be involved in the story there at one point before the moon started to fall its not related.

And I highly doubt its talking about the accians any way sadly we will never know because the original story never went beyond the last level 50 one. And there wer some scenes in some trailers that showed the leader of the sanguine sirens about to attack Titan with her axe. But again we will never know and even if we found out what the story was going to be in pretty sure it depress us more to learn it now knowing it will never come and it will never be seen.

The Ascians were involved but had a different appearance, *see Lahabrea and Igeyorhm fight.*. They were also not the main antagonists with that title belonging to Gaius and the Garleans.

Was about to create a thread for this, found this thread, was not disappointed. This has been on my mind since we learned about Tiamat, it really makes a lot of sense if the male voice in the beginning is Bahamut and the female voice is Tiamat. Bahamut is dead, he's forced to suffer, redemption's beyond him since he's essentially dead.

The dragons' souls have been torn, and their bodies are kept alive as means of prayer to Bahamut to become an energy generator.
They're equally sinful as all beings are, for of course killing one another and another species as well, and their future is pretty much taken given the theme of the BCOB are dragons being imprisoned within Dalamud for thousands of years.

They can't really feel or hear anything that's going on in the world.. they hear words without sound that makes them go mad in their head.

And the next 2 lines:

Sounds very dragons in the coils for me.
