It's faster (and cheaper) than the other available options, to be honest.

Its slower, and more expensive. Why? Well because:

unless the drop rate for IVs on 51+ gear is somehow massively increased over the base 45+ gear.

Which it is. A 10% drop chance from 45+ vs a 75% drop chance from 55~ (moghome)

30 minutes to SBing lvl 45, 1 hour for SBing (via gathering) lvl 55.

especially if you're trying to spiritbond DoM/DoW stuff.

Now why would anyone actually waste their time SBing DoM/DoW items?


I mentioned it before in a different thread, but it's pretty tiring seeing ''Urths fount'' as best SB place time, and time again. It's one of the reasons I imagine why Tier IV (crafting) materias are still so overpriced. Because few people want to spend an hour for maybe 1 of them. More people would SB if they realised they could get 5 in that same hour instead...while also getting 6-7 stacks of gathering items they can sell.
