Excuse the bad pun, I couldn't help it.

I've been doing a lot of FATE farming lately, and this is really ticking me off. Currently, farming FATEs is practically the only way for our companion to gain experience - yet, even this way is seriously gimped. The bird only gets experience points for whatever counts as an actual kill (no idea what counts as a kill either), a rather abysmal amount of experience points at that, especially compared to how many is needed to gain new ranks. And regardless of how the FATE is completed (or not completed), he's completely left out of the reward experience points. I'm questioning why, since he obviously counts as a party member, as evidenced by a) the fact that they do occupy party slots; b) the fact that we (STILL!) can't register for duties while having them summoned. And, y'know, "normal" party members - other player characters, they do get the reward experience points. It's very hard to score kills as certain jobs, even in FATE trains, as opposed to certain others, so while I spend hours getting gold medals on dozens and dozens of FATEs, he's not seeing any profit from it.

I don't wanna open (another) discussion about how half-done and sloppy the companion system is in general; I'd just like to see my bird getting his experience points for helping me get gold medals in battles, please. Because I'm really not sure why this hasn't been so from the beginning.
