SE needs to stop giving Conjurer mixed signals. It's either a Black Mage or a White Mage, it can't keep trying to be both! It will end up like SCH and SCH even had a lot of really awesome stuff to make the hybrid almost work. Until SE ultimately beat it relentlessly with the nerfstick and let the other real mages use its cool abilitiesi know those jobs existed on different ff series but what i like about xiv is the new creativity like conjurer class and physical lvl job,in all honesty i dont like where patch 1.21 is going because its too similar to ffxi where you need to reach lvl 30 to unlock those new quests, just like xi was
PS: I'ma be extremely upset if THM becomes the "Black Mage" when CON has all the ancientlolmagic and elemental nukes.
I actually thought it was funny that, in the live interview, someone asked him (Yoshi that is) if he was intentionally making this into ffxi-2. He replyed that they are two totally seperate games. 3 questions later he goes on to state that the new jobs will be whm, blm, paladin, ect. Hell, even the whm gear is identicle to XI. TO be fair though, and the part that you, and most people dont seem to get is, these have always been the jobs in just about every FF. They may be called different stuff from time to time but, pretty sure if you go and look , there have always been whms, blms, ect. BIG SUPRISE then that they found there way into XIV, am I right??

Dam then you should also say that FFXIV jobs are also every other FF at least more then 90% of them lol

Yeah, for some reason, the developers are thinking that since ff11 was great, let's just copy all the ideas from 11 and add it into 14.
Just like the caravan security, it's basically ff11's escort quests. Nothing new, nothing fresh. And back in 11, I did escort quests repeatedly for XP scrolls, and not because it was a fun thing to do.

I wish instead of throwing a job system on top of what we currently have they had instead just worked on giving us the skills and flexibility needed to create those role-centric builds with the current system. The extra layer is completely unnecessary.
