    Nah, they can revert back to adding classes again if they want them to be available to newer players. Like how Rogue was. They could be used to attract said newer players. The 3 Heavensward jobs could be the exception. But the expansion is so far off and we won't know until then.

    Reverting back doesn't really make much sense now that they've started this trend. You can still go classless and have them be available to new players to tinker around with regardless. If they were going to stick around with classes I think we would've seen the 3 HW jobs with base classes. There's no real reason to leave all 3 of them the odd men out, even if you want to restrict them to starting out lvl 30+ in the beginning, and suddenly boom classes/jobs again. Add on the fact that all the new abilities are job specific for each job and can't even be used by classes and the evidence just mounts. It doesn't really make much logical sense to do a 180 on all that.

    Besides, at this point in the game the class/job system feels like nothing more than a 1.x hold out. Once you get a soulstone there isn't much reason to return to using the base class except only in the most niche of instances.
