Well /NIN in XI is a whole 'nother discussion lol. I just don't like the aesthetics that go with dual wield. I can just see the samurai in their armor twirling all over the battlefield with sakura petals all over the place... ugh

I miss Hagun. 2 metre long meat cleaver PLZ.

Well if SE doesn't fix this current tank meta, where War is perma OT with Drk / Pld fighting over MT duties. Then I can see Sam being added to compete with War on OT duties, while I wouldn't want to this go down as I wish Drk would get some damn respect and gain OT love and giving War MT love along with Pld getting both. This also brings up a case of why in the world would SE add another 2h tank (as per every FF with Sam they're seen with 2h Katana) as we don't need that. So I can see them maybe going with dual wield to spice it up or hell be really creative and give them a spear or something.

I've been searcing for a man
All across Japan
Just to find
To find my samurai
Someone who is strong
But still a little shy
Yes I need
I need my samurai
I'd rather have blue mages as tanks, red mages as dps and green mages as healers.
I can see SAM being a dual wielding tank

Black Mage = DPS
White Mage = Healer
Red Mage = Tank, the only Job in the game that stands in front who can heal and deal damage with spells at the same time. Literally makes sense.
Samurai though, makes more sense as a DPS.
Yes, the class known for wearing heavy armor and having one of the most powerful defensive abilities in the game when tanks weren't even a thing (blade grasp) makes much more sense as a dps than a class that's never been a front line character in any iteration and at most has worn "medium" armors and held a jack of all tradesey supportey role.
