Solo leveling is broken.

Mobs take a lot longer to kill solo, but they also give out a lot more exp than before...

Previously a R40 mob would give your R38 char maybe 80 SP? Now that same mob gives you 470 EXP. (I just did the test)

It not only evens out I think exping solo is now much faster, the only caveat is you have to pay attention to your game to stay alive.

Nope thats not the basic of an Online game.
Online games are made for infinit gaming.
People can choose to go through them in party following someone else like a weak dog.
Or they can be the leader dog going by their own.
I rather solo then follow people around like a lil puppy :-)

I find this insulting. And you're wrong. MMO is an acronym for massive multiplayer online... So yes, playing with others is the basic fundamental of an MMO. If you're only playing the game solo, you're doing it wrong.

And how does playing with others equate to being a weak dog? I play online games so I can play with my friends, as do most other people. And guess what... friends tend to make decisions collectively. Didn't you know that? Maybe not, since going by your own doesn't make you a leader dog -- it makes you a lone dog.

It takes much more to lead a group of people than only yourself. It takes even more to have that group be willing to follow in you time and time again.

This does not, in any way mean you should have to party with others, this term simply means you're not the only player around. Just because there are more people around, does not mean you should be forced to play with others when we are talking about an mmo. The basic fundamental of an mmo is having your own customized character that fits your play style and leveling it as you see fit, whether it be with others or by yourself. While I'm not agreeing with the OP completely, they honestly did go overboard with the new linking feature, but that is about it everything else is fine. Bottom line is this, not everyone plays the same way another does so arguing about another persons play style is pretty pointless.

On a side note to the OP: Try the Grand Company leves when you get there, very good exp solo if that's your aim.
