    If they really want us to level in parties why not make it easier to find party members? Shouting for 30min + in Ul'dah to find ppl to join a group is just... Zzzz ZzzzzzZzzz...

    The way you seach for group members in FFXI wasn't that bad but SE shouldn't have any problems making a 2011 version that rocks... or....

Over 1k less than before the patch and further more, defeating behest taking nearly 15 minutes longer than it did before. Sure you get more SP from the monsters, but it still does not make up for the timesink it creates. I had fun before defeating enemies in a swift manner, now it takes a lot more time.

    Sure ok.. I thought maybe the behest mobs were just harder than the leve mobs now, so I went in and took a levequest. Stuff that I was able to rank 5 stars before. R40 leve as a R49 right, shouldn't be a hard thing. Ranking 5 stars pulled the mobs to 2-3 levels above me. I got 3 mobs on me at once, I couldn't even kill them without nearly dying. By the time I finished the leve as 5 stars, I had around 8 minutes left on the timer. Just for reference, to get the bonus from a levequest, you have to defeat it before the 23 minute mark. So.. then I just simply had to drop my levequest difficulty to 1 star, and even doing so, having the mobs nearly 10 levels BELOW me, I could manage to defeat the mobs to around 24 minutes, leaving me a minute spare time.

    I can understand that they wanted to enforce partying exp, but the change just killed soloing completely. Personally, I'd like to see a melee class, doesn't matter which one, defeat those leves without any healing abilities whatsoever. It'd be impossible. Even with R50 conjurer and R50 thaumaturge spells, I had hard time not getting killed on a R40 leve as a R49 gladiator.

    To make a summary of this.. stuff that used to be done in 5 minutes, now takes 20 minutes instead, with the same rewards. Doing leves is pointless now, when comparing to exp parties. In one of my LS'ses today I read that people had got from R45 to 50, in less than 5 hours. Getting over 400k SP during that time. I can't see this happening with leves anymore or people who like to solo.

    This is quite a serious issue in my opinion, what do you think?
    I don't think that making monsters go down a lot slower while increasing SP is a good idea. It takes way too long to kill mobs now and leveling solo is a big pain. They are just regular monsters, i don't need to feel like im fighting an epic battle that lasts 5-10 min to defeat a regular stupid mob.....

    I want to be able to kill a whole bunch of them in a row and quickly... i want to feel my character's power..... reduce SP if you have to but make it that i can chain a bunch of them while solo and i'll be happy.

    Solo leveling is nowhere near broken. Try some company leves.

    I never do anything in more then a trio. I solo most of the time and the game is perfect in regards
    to time spent vs. risk vs. reward. I have not had one problem going around soloing open world or leve's
    I do leve's at one start and get better EXP then I did before the patch. yeah I spend more time doing it.
    but that makes it a lot more fun then it was before. And I still make more per play session then I did before.
    Just because the mechanics changed doesn't mean the game is broken. Learn to adapt.

    Adapt you fool. fighting +3 is not the way to go about it. Yoshi said 2 damn months ago that the plan
    was to balance solo fights to equal levels and to last 30-60 secs. the dev team reached that mark.

    i prefer solo to party play. although party is ok. but forming parties, and playing follow the leader blah. and yes solo is now harder but wait i think you are over looking something.

    i think when the new gear starts to filter through solo'ing will get easyier (probally not as easy as it was, thats not a bad thing) add to that the new materia. i guess we should wait and see. don't forget yoshi-p did say he always wants there to be a solo option, for ppl that want it. think i might do work on my gathering and crafting till the new gear comes through

    The differences between dated gear and newer gear of the respective ranks is miniscule.
