I think there was a comment on this in the last live letter, but they want to make sure it can't be abused. Not sure how difficult that'd be though.

I just wish SE would actually listen. This has been begged for many times before.

...is an excuse I hear often. SE really needs to make this happen. Nothing better than waiting out a BLM's Raging Striked, MNK's Perfect Balance or a Potion after every wipe in a raid.![]()
I can see one risk though - where should be it available? In dungeons aswell? That would result in scenarios like pulling pack of adds, HG, killing one, wipe, restart, pulling pack of adds with 1 less, HG, killing one, ... U got the idea. SE to introduce reset timers mechanic should also reset the packs of adds who wiped party or sth on that matter to balance the game.
Or just make it only work on Trials/Raids where it's truly relevant. And I don't think intentionally wiping would really serve as a means to do the dungeon faster; you have to go through the effort of dying and to move back to the point where you used to be. Ok, so this feature may be abused by people who enjoy staying 50 minutes in a dungeon, running 10x times from the beginning before they even reach first boss, because they are too bad for surviving trash mobs. Also I don't see this in dungeons in general, since I never had to wait for any CD of anyone in any dungeon i'd run till now. But they could really add this to trials/raids, since you can't enter an arena again after you died until all others are dead, too.
