are side quests really just meant for one class?

i am currently sitting at 55 on a class and have 1.7 exp to grind out because i am caught up on the main story quest and cannot take the next. i can do fates and challenge log and roulette and leves etc etc to get exp but its still going to happen.

today its 1.7million exp to grind the next level it will 2 million and so forth.

its not like im going to level all that much from side quests when i decide to go after the next class to level up right?

was there any point in saving those sides quests for another class? cause its costing me now.

Personally I never purposely "save" side quests for other classes, only if I happen to get too high in level for it to matter, then I'll come back on another class and do them.

I never save side quests, even if I'm at max level. If I want to enjoy the content now, I will.

I never once saved any side quests at all either. For some reason with the 50-60 stretch I find 53-58 drags terribly but then it speeds up suddenly at the end when you're getting full experience for more things and can kill everything much faster than before (depending on job, of course). I was disappointed by how little time I had to savour the last few levels when I got my second job up.

I just co-leveled 2 jobs at the same time through the story and side quests. I actually had the Azys Lla sidequests all left over for when I got there on my BLM.

saved all my sidequests for DPS.. all 3 tanks inst qued dungeons for 50-60 lol

I saved my side quests as my main is a Warrior so queues and bonus XP there was never a problem, plus it is faster to go through and DPS them down later when I have alts with better gear. I do leave them alone when I outlevel them and save them for the third, fourth, etc, class. The only exception was if I saw a sidequest had a big gear upgrade for me from 2.x gear, or if it unlocked an aether current.

I did all my sidequests on my 3rd Job....(AST which became my main)
Main Story, Roulettes and Daily Hunts for my 1st MNK
Roulettes and Daily Hunts for 2nd WAR..

and now I'm on my 4th which is nearly SCH (57) I trimmed away Daily Hunts too...and have the slow process of Roulettes *faints*

pretty much, my first was a healer so sometime during Moghome i just stopped doing them and grinded dungeons instead. used them all on BRD.

the game is so DPS bias. Healers can't possibly kill as fast as other classes, so if you're healer you're better off grinding dungeons. I don't do quest as my healer i only do the one's to get my aether current and the level requirements of Heavensward main quest is ridiculous, it literally goes from "you have to be level 55 to do this quest" to all of a sudden "you need to be level 57 to do this quest" quickly. So the game almost forces you explore the other content
