Any future healer will have to be "viable" for endgame or else we will see dozens of threads saying the new healer is too weak etc.
They already made a new healer and that was ast. How many threads etc did u see revolve around the mechanics of ast?
    - omg too much rng in cards plz rework ( defeats purpose of being called shuffle )
    - omg healing potency too weak plz buff
    - omg the abilities r so useless.

No imagine chemist being bashed by the 3 healers + the endgame raid groups.
SE will be like ughhh here we go again.

That's why a game can't be both casual and hardcore focused. The hardcore people will always complain about changes made to achieve more fun because that isn't "viable for endgame".

Yes but dancing to heal seems so cheesy. Using healing potions seems much more appropriate.

Yup because there's only so much content in this game that u can have fun with.
More content = more diversity vs.
Alexander savage is the endgame for everyone that isn't a crafter or gatherer.
Also with how raid fights r designed there are only 3 unavoidable damage outputs.
    - tank busters
    - raid wide damage
    - single target damage
So SE needs to take these factors into consideration when designing a new healer.

If the healer is lacking in one of these then its the end of the world.

I would like a melee healer so far all healers are long range time mix it up, so either dancer they can dance on enemies faces while healing allies, or a psychic class that uses the power of there mind to heal in debuff enemies having them fight each other or something.

Try thinking of it as their dancing is a way of manipulationg the aether around them to give it a form/flow and manipulate it into a party member's body to recover HP. If you've ever seen avatar think of Dancer like a Bender.

I like helping people with their Job ideas, it's fun to help them visuallize and create the job they'd like to play most. Plus I make my own too, I'll post them eventually.

FFXIV actually does a good job of providing a wide variety of content (if anything, the game is more casual-focused than it is hardcore). I also don't see where adjustments to AST made the game anything other than more enjoyable for the majority of players, whether we're talking about casual or more difficult content....

I'm sure SE is staffed by big boys and girls who can take some constructive criticism. They know that introducing new Jobs etc. will provoke a rush of both positive and negative feedback, and that's just how it goes. They can be worried when players stop asking for buffs, nerfs, additions, etc., because that will mean that no one cares.

Honestly dancing seems easier to justify than healing potions. I rather imagine Chemist breaking bottles over people's heads.... If we want to get fancy, I suppose you could have animations where a stylized potion flask appears over the target's head and pours the magic onto them, but that's still more than a tad cheesy.

About the only way I see Chemist making "sense" (granted, this is fantasy we are talking about) is as a mage who carries a variety of fantastic pseudo-science spell components around and combines them on the fly to create magic effects.

Just give them a gun. They could mix things and shoot them.
