So this ilvl180 stuff / morale is still useless??

The materia doesn't appear to work, what about in wolves den?

Is there a point in getting the ilvl180 gear at all?

No, it is not useless.

The PvP gear is better itemized (all left side pieces have only crit/det/speed) for damage than most PvE gear.

Morale gives each stat a bonus equal to the difference between the items based ilevel's stat caps and the new effective ilevel's stat caps in PvP areas. This bonus is given before syncing happens.

Ilevelsync caps the stat bonus received from a piece of gear to that of the synced ilevel. If the stat is under the cap it is unaffected.

What this means is that a piece needs have an effective ilevel of i190 or higher to ensure that all stats are capped in Sealed Rock (Seize). i180 PvP gear has an effective ilevel of i210 making it so that all stats are capped in i150 sync PvP.

In 3.1, when the revised Wolf's Den is released the i180 PvP gear will be BiS/Near BiS.

Yes. Yes, and more yes.... However, I still wish there was a bit more variety in terms of what we could use. A whopping two sets at 180/210, and nothing in between 110/120 and cap. That's absolutely ridiculous. I mean, basically, the way it is now, PvP gear is utterly useless between ranks ~36ish to 47 and you're stuck using PvE gear with non-optimal stats for PvP. That's pretty dumb for more than one reason. At the very least, they could have introduced at least one mid-way to rank 50 set, if not for utility than to give the PvP'ers something to make the grind to 50 feel less like walking through an empty desert. Also, it's not like we have ANYTHING to spend Wolf Marks on anyway, so we they might as well thrown in another glamour set.

I know this is the wrong spot probably but does anyone know where I can find BiS materia purchasing for Bard or Warrior? Thanks in advance.
