One thing you haven't mentioned: Is your gear all higher level and dated? If so you are facing a huge problem right there.

edit: You can single target CC spells as a DoW. Plus Arc has close shot and shadowbind.

It's more fun when you play with other people.
Because it's an MMO. Take advantage of that.

Nope, and tbh I'm formerly both R50 PGL and ARC. All of my gear is appropriate rank.

Like others have said, if patch 1.18 was game-changing, this patch rewrote the goddamn laws of physics. Things are SO different even the known bugs are nuts. You've gotta go out there and explore to find out what mobs will give you the best gains based on what you want. There's no fast track to anything now.

    It's a brand new world.
I am so glad I found a kindred spirit that argues the point that even in the solo FF games you were still playing in partys... man how many times I had the solo arguement with people on that... "well I played the single player game by myself" "but you were fighting with 3-4 people in a party" "ya so I was still playing by myself it shouldn't matter if all previous FF's were party based"

Changes to claim systems and linking mean I need to be on guard more often in dense mob zones.

    Just for starters.

    Level 8 CNJ Repose
    Level 32 CNJ Sleep
    Level 8 THM Gravity
    Leven 28 THM Bind
    Level 8 LNC Trammel
    Level 6 ARC Shadowbind

Most of the CC are low enough for anyone to get and with little planning / strategy links are no issue.

Note: I use gravity, movement debuff, all the time and kitting the unwanted monster is easy.

As butt hurt as you are by the OPs post, no one seems to care that the new claiming system has opened the doors for ridiculously fast powerleveling, provided you're fortunate enough to have a powerleveler. No one's concerned about that, though.

SE WILL make this game solo-friendly or it will be a financial disaster for them. Trust me, SE cares more about their coffers than you supposed "hardcores," and rightfully so. You'd best be prepared for an easy (and fun!) low-to-mid leveling up experience in the future, because it's coming. SE already gave you all a ridiculous (and free) head start on the game over PS3 players, and it's so plainly obvious that all the high-levels want to remain king of the hill when PS3 hits. Ain't gonna happen, so if your egos are so frail, why don't you just quit now and stop polluting the community?

As an engdame player myself, I welcome these changes and I welcome the opportunity for new players to get off their feet and aid us ALL in our adventures at level 50 - that's only going to happen if the process of exping is is actually reasonable.

Resume bickering among each other like children.

Have you tried Comapny Leves? They give decent SP and the difficulty can be adjusted. Trust me, 5 stars at level 47 is no walk in the park. You'll have your ass handed to you quickly. Or you can put it on one star for easy mode. That's why that shit is adjustable.

Besides those spells you probably need at least one healing spell to take down ONE enemy equal to your level.. now have you actually tried out a DoW somewhere between level10 and 20 and seen the MP pool? And how "much" healing abilities actually heal now?

Not trying to be offensive or anything, but personally I found it really hard to efficiently solo at those levels. In case I'm doing something severely wrong, {Help me out!}.

Don't forget moves like second wind and bloodbath. Which only cost TP, although when not used on the classes you get the abilities from the cooldowns are a good bit higher.
