ast cross hotbar setup (PS controller)

Hello everyone. So im sitting at lvl 57 and im having a bit of trouble finding an efficient hot bar setup. I have my main heals on the L2 d pad (i use the controller in my left hand and right using a mouse) but as far as where the rest should go im at a loss.

So how does everyone else's hot bars look?

The AST in this video has a set up very close to mine. The specific locations are a bit different, but he has placed the "categories" in very nearly the same way I have. My dmg, DoTs/Prot., Stoneskin, Ascend are on a secondary bar, but I macro those to automatically switch back to my main bar after casting. I do not use a mouse. Hopefully you can make sense of my "diagram" below.

"(skill)/(skill)/(skill)/(skill)" are the pad buttons. "----" marks left/right pads (left of ---- is left pad, right of ---- is right pad). "|" marks L1 or R1 (the bottom controller buttons, not the top ones; I can never remember if the bottoms ones are L/R1 or L/R2).

Stoneskin/Protect/Swiftcast/Raise/Food/LB/ect are pretty much shoved into the combined cross bars. I have a seperate line of comands above to keep up with cooldowns as well

This is whm but sat is the same setup. I'm not in game so using this.

This is PS4, empty slot is for lv60 spell once I find it.
Edit: I use the R2 + L2 / L2 + R2 setup also and the horizontal bar at bottom so I can see any CD's when they are off cool down.

Mine is is like this:

R2 Side

Cross: Benefic / Circle: Aspected Benefic / Square: Benefic II / Triangle: Draw
Down: Swiftcast / Right: Luminiferous Aether / Left: Lightspeed / Up: Royal Road

L2 Side

Cross: Essential Dignity / Circle: Disable (I have a macro that always cast that on my Focus Target) / Square: Stoneskin / Triangle: Sprint
Down: Synastry / Right: Ascend (I have a macro to Swiftcast it) / Left: Cleric Stance / Up: Exalted Detriment

I use the expanded hotbar thingy and on my R2 + L2 I have:

Cross: Aspected Helios / Circle: Shuffle / Square: Spread / Triangle: Helios
Down: Time Dilation / Right: Protect / Left: Collective Unconscious / Up: Celestial Opposition

On my L2 + R2, I have:

Cross: Aspected Helios / Circle: Shuffle / Square: Spread / Triangle: Helios
Down: Return / Right: (Nothing) / Left: Teleport / Up: Limit Break

My order of wording for all sets is:

Circle, X, Square, Triangle,
Right, Down, Left, Up (Basically is the order as we get new skills)

Set 1 R2 Side:

Draw, Shuffle, Royal Road, Spread
Helios, Benefic II, Benefic I, Aspect Helios

Set 1 L2 Side:

Disable, Essential Dignity, Time Dilation, Aspected Benefic
Ascend, Exalted Detriment, Synastry, Swiftcast

Set 2 R2 Side:

Malefic II, Gravity, Combust I, Combust II
Stella, Diurnal Stance, Noctural Stance, Aero

Set 2 L2 Side:

Celestial Opposition, Luminiferous Aether, Cleric Stance, Sprint
Stoneskin, Collective Unconscious, Limit Break, Lightspeed

L2+R2 Set:

Protect, Limit Break, Mount, Sprint
D-pad is pots and macros

The reason why I use this setup is because the D-pad spells work better while not moving and circle etc for when i am moving and using spells. It is not comfortable to have to move and need to use a D-pad ability, doing that will make me stop briefly before i can run again. With this is not a issue.

Not sure my setup will be very useful since it's really weird set up.
All the numbers are just targeting macros; don't use a mouse and hate having to tab through the party list.

Lightspeed and LB are sitting on a 4th bar where I dumped all the pvp actions. I'm still trying to look for a better place to put lightspeed but, meh.

I play on PS3. I mainly use SET2 and SET3. SET4 is for PvP, LB and /aaction macros. I set heals on L2+D because I use <mo> macros. I use a controller in my left hand and a trackball in my right hand.

I use R2+L2/L2+R2 sets for targeting, focustargeting and main commands.

1st
L2 - Up - Disable Right - CO Down - Synastry Left - Cleric Macro (activate cleric and switch to X-bar 2)

R2 - Up - Protect Right - Swift-Ascend Down - CU Left - Exalted Detriment

I use the same bar for R2+L2 and L2+R2, cause I never know when I press each button

But with this Ideas I see my bar is not as good as it could be. Maybe I'll try new setups and if I find something better I post here again ^.^
