well technically the GLD for the scions can be the PC... because they also lack an archer for the group...
that or count Hoary Boulder... Hope he counts

Of course Hoary Boulder counts! He might be a new member to the team, and he might not ever do anything with the rest of the group, but he's still a Scion, damn it!

There needs to be more roe love from the scions...

Hoary counts. There used to be heaps of Scions. Its just a large number of them died off (you all know when).
Infact the NPCs still in the Waking Sands are Scions. It might be interesting to see if any of the adventurers currently in the Rising Stones join as proper members.
Little side note: The people at camp Dragonhead officially gave the room the Scions used there the name Falling Snows and set it aside for Scion use. They tell you this at Camp Dragonhead after HW. As a lot of the NPC dialog changes.
I kind of want to see Tataru singing and dancing.

Eh he was already a gld when the circle of knowing merged with the path of the 12 after the calamity he learned the ways of the gld when he first came to Ul'dah 10 years before the fall of dalamud.

Honestly, after watching an early HW cutscene, I think that Tataru should pretty much be a Disciple of the Hand.
She's tried her hand as a Disciple of the Land(Miner) and it didn't work out, she's tried Disciple of Magic(Arcanist), no dice.
but.....You see that badass Outfit she made for Alphinaud?
I think as the 3.x story continues and we find the other Scions, Tataru should be the one to upgrade their outfits.

I gotta say, watching Tataru's Carbuncle run away was funny. I wasn't expecting it.
