Item Exchange for Peeps that leveled Astro to 60 first?

So I know, I leveled Astro to 60 because of my excitement, and did so in under a week after 3.0 release, just to find nearly every group in game was not accepting Astro for end game progression, and I didn't blame them.

So I leveled WHM to 60 to be ready before raiding, however, our other healer already had WHM to 60, and I already had a scholar to 50....so then I leveled SCH to 60 as soon as I could before raiding as well, all while I still worked a 40-50 hour work week.

Then there was hope, as they announced AStro buffs before Savage would come out. Turned out still was not where it needed to be, and our Savage group was suffering drastically from me wanting to go ASTRO and hoarding my esoterics for Astro gear...for that possible one day it is better.

Rather than have to be removed from group, the logical choice, I finally decided to spend my esoterics on SCH, and it was the right decision, as my sch with awesome gear was owning those heals.

THEN again Square teases with the possibility I might be able to play ASTRO again, and finally is where it needs to be for even footing on real progression material. However, many healers out there are in the same boat that had high hopes to switch mains to ASTRO.

Because of weekly lockouts, I'm about three pieces (weapon, armor, accessory) behind which is about five weeks worth of Esoterics if I were to go back to AStro.

TLDR: So my suggestion is to allow those that leveled their first class as Astrologian to lvl 60 first (the only class that was truely not equally viable for Savage progression in the eyes of the devs) to exchange current esoteric pieces for Astrologian pieces. Healers in savage since it released for the most part bit the bullet and played WHM and SCH, and it seems unfair to lock them in, simply because they were doing what they could do to remain in their groups, dispite their initial desire to play ASTRO. Any end game raiders that feel the same about their Astro that they leveled to 60 first? Thanks for reading!

Not going to happen, I spent my ESO on SMN but i have no regret. Plenty of time to gear both classes.

You can submit a ticket to have at least one item exchanged. I also leveled astrologian first just to discover it would not be viable with a WHM partner so I switched jobs and spent my eso on my scholar instead.

I did, however, it has to be a MISTAKE. Since my purchase was not a mistake, but to make up for complete uncertainty that was Astrologian and it preventing me from being a serious healing contender in most savage groups, I had to do it, and therefore is not being granted...even though I feel it was FFXIV devs that made the mistake on just telling peeps to "hold on, be patient"...when that'd put us five weeks behind if we were a serious raider.

Even today you dont see hardly any endgame raiding Astros running around in three pieces of esoterics...simply because in order to stay relevent, they had to already spend them in a more viable healing class.

This means I have to spend another 2-3 weeks just go gain my weapon and start the esoteric grind...which really means, endgame raiders would be about 8 weeks behind if they choose to switch to the class they wanted to be in the first place.

I've had several friends who bought for one class, decided to switch and were able to have their item exchanged. It's really up to the individual gm but it wouldn't hurt to try.

I just tried sending a ticket and it was denied. Guess I wasn't lucky with the GM I got. Same reason, purchase was not a mistake. =3=
