    Raw Destruction question

wtf is the range on this thing? I have a Macro on PvP that repel shots / Shadowbind.

I got stunned by a Dragoon, Purify, he charged Raw, Repel / Shadow, Turned and ran down ramp (his cast bar finished after I used sprint and ran) and I still got whacked by it, This isn't the first time it's happened either.

I had to at least had 2 full seconds of sprint almost. Like, I understand the need to give melee stuff like that to stop everything from being ranged city, but...that's kinda absurd?

So, back to my old question, is this thing just primed to connect to no matter what? Cause if so, that's kinda weaksauce that Ranged can't do that also.

If you're still within range after his cast finishes on his screen, it went off. The only thing that would stop it is if he died mid animation

That's what I thought, But I've died soooo many times where that just shouldn't realistically be the case. Unless I have like a half second latency or lag or something, but that simply can't be.

Just this game earlier I did to one on the Top hill in Rock, where he primed it I wasn't stunned, I heard it in my headphones So I just jumped off, took 5k, and still got hit by it lol. Once again, there was about half a second AFTER I landed below... There's gotta be something else other than cast animation to it.

It's purely lantecy, I have a 0.25+ ping and its virtually impossible to dodge the lbs. Where as I could have mine stopped by them walking directly behind after the stun wears off.

Also I believe with repelling shot you have not truely moved until the full animation has completed

This I knew about. It's treated the same the 'Goon jumps work. But still, I know for a fact it's not my internet, I guess it just has to do with who is using it and who is getting hit by it I suppose...

Ah well, thanks for the quick responses at least guys.

It's the same rule as with enemies. If you are within range when casting time is over, it is a hit. Unless -as stated earlier- caster dies during animation.

If you have to purify or perform any other action besides one that directly interrupts the limit break it will be too late, it's that fast.

Btw even though it's not written in the description for fetter ward it apparently also nullifies knockback. At the very least it nullifies the knockback from white mage fluid aura.

Whether it only works on whm fluid aura since it also tries to bind u or it nullifies all forms of knockback I am not quite sure. Hard to test it since can't always predict when people will try to knock back u but if anyone knows off hand I and many other people would appreciate the info.

Instead of repelling shot, use blunt arrow to silence it before the cast bar finishes. Yes, you can silence it.

I've noticed that if you're already moving away from a melee LB when it's just begun to cast then you stand a chance of avoiding it.

However if you're stunned right before a cast it's almost impossible to dodge it, and that's why most melee perform a stun before an LB. Same goes for ranged LB, Heavy + MCH LB is almost impossible to avoid from experience (so far none have escaped my MCH LB if they're heavy-ed).

Note: It would make sense for a caster LB to get silenced, but can a melee LB really be silenced? I gotta try that out.
