What To Do with Untradable Gear

So, do you all just sell all your non-convertible untradable gear for the gil listed on the item details?

I am working on getting my weaver up to lvl 30 since I believe that will allow me to do some desynthesis, but since you can't give other items to FC members or friends to break down, I am guessing just to vendor them.

I just wanted a sanity check before I do that since it seems like such a waste.
