Both the Japanese -> English and Math skills required for this particular translation are basic. I'm bad at both, I can do it perfectly fine.
Well, maybe the English requirement is advanced, I can't really tell.
I do it a lot actually. A downside of not being able to read a language fluently is that you are forced to spend time translating it, as strange as it may sound.
Not to mention since I normally care little about proper grammar I often phrase things in ways that should not be used in 'this' language.
However, the only reason the error is in the patchnotes to begin with is because for some reason the translator decided to rephrase, instead of providing a direct translation.
Direct translation would have been ''tripled'' which is a 100% accurate translation, and doesnt serve to confuse anyone that isnt fluent in English. (as was apparently the case)
Since we have other sources its just semantics at this point to argue this.
However such things are easily avoided if you focus on direct translation, rather then the way you bring it. Especially for patchnotes.
On topic:
Favor materials are faster to obtain now, but ultimately still capped. Prices are still very high. Unknown if enough people will start doing them so they're atleast steadily available regardless of pricing.
