All I'm seeing is you complain about not wanting to do a core mechanic of a game to get to the stuff behind it. You could say the same thing about unspoiled nodes, but we've had those since 2.0...

I was doing Favors before, and will continue doing Favors, this proves nothing and is not even an argument. The system is flawed cause it broke the mats flow, some people are doing it, but not enough to offer mats at a reasonable price... that's fact, just look at MB.

Dude the patch came out today and I've already seen at least a half a dozen people this morning doing favors who I haven't seen doing it before. Their patch worked. Crafting has always been accessible to casual players, the 2 star crafts were not, now they are.

Wow... Half a dozen!! We're fine then. Sorry for complaining about this fine system everyone loves.

You guys want it made easier for you? That's not gonna happen. That's like me crying about AS3 or AS4 being too hard.

They said they were gonna make it more "Accessible to casual players" who don't have enough time to do it 11 hours a week and thats what they did, now it only takes 3 hours and 45 minutes. That's much much much better.

Yup lol, its really enjoyable now tht u don't have to commit 15 mins x5.
I can gather while waiting for pvp qeue etc cuz 4:59 duration is great.
You just have to be more efficient in gathering the favors now so no more zzzz or slacking or gathering emph nodes lol.
Also if u get 0 in 5 mins its way better than getting 0 in 15 mins.

The best comparison between crafting and raiding:

Raiding doesn't have to grind 20 untradeable dungeon minion drops to unlock 1 attempt at an alexander boss. With specific minions for specific bosses.

I've done favors, old and new. And you know what I realized? It's still a bad system, it's just faster now. It's still streaky as hell. I had 1 good streak, I had 3 bad streaks. Bad -- 3 favors, 4 items TOTAL.

In no way is crafting accessible to the casual. Either millions of gil worth of mats, or red scrip level gatherers with all the folklore tomes for mining and botany AND most if not all classes maxed.

Specialist is irrelevant -- the exact same problem, worse, because you've been told you're "special" so you think you should be able to do it.

It look the first group 687 pulls to kill AS3. I've raided up to AS3 and I'll tell you 2 star crafting is sooo much easier and sooo much faster.

Guys, they aren't gonna make it easier for you. They made it more accessible, but you still gotta get up and do something if you want the materials.

It's true they won't make it easier but the reason why is actually because they have no content for crafters to create (recipes) and sell :P

Oh I have gotten off my ass, since favors were added I've gathered enough favor items for myself to break 3 items/2 nq gears while learning a new rotation, hq gathering ratings, hq bsm main and offtool, hq crafting belt,hq ltw offhand and 8 astral birch/Griffin leathers (8 combined) for FC mates.

Some always think is your complaining that your being lazy or haven't touched the system. How else would we know the system is bad if we never got off our ass and went thru said system?

The guy I quoted sums up my experience with this system. A better way would had been make the law items like they did the previous craft items.
