what u mean? drk so difficult to aggro! drk so complexity!
and i doubt there will be more pet classes, since SMN is one, and...yah...

I definitely agree with this, and it seems to be a running theme across several DPS jobs. I don't play BLM, but they added something to their class along the same lines, and screwing it up is supposedly a b****.Not really pinning for a necromancer class.
Just ... as I said, all SMN (and I think BLM) got for "mechanics" this expansion are stupid buffs on a timer - i.e. Aethertrail and Dreadwyrm Trance (and Enochainsomething). All those do is make you rush to squeeze in as many attacks as possible or stress you out about using a specific attack within the time limit. Mechanically about as interesting as DDR.
I am not sure why smn can't summon dumbfire pets?
I loved those in EQ and EQ2.
Ok...so you can't summon a primal... why not summon a swarm of fun things that all rush and attack... or explode?
Actually, they're meant to make you punch your monitor when they fall off as you get sucked into Quarantine
Beastmaster calls forth a cherry bomb swarm.
Ninja curses the day tab targeting was born.
Ninja gets lit up like a night sky on the fourth of July.
Beastmaster uses smily emoticons to great effect.
Thumbs up if you'd want your own personal cherry bomb swarm! Flexible beastmasters for the win!

Quoting the beginning of the argument to throw in my $0.02
Enochain is the spell, so actually he got it correct.
He is also 100% correct on his description of BLM, albeit a little vague. Up until 3.0 BLM was a proc based DPS caster, easy to play, fun to play. At 3.0 it is the same, until level 60 and our ENTIRE ROTATION is completely changed. I honestly though about changing classes after my first Neverreap.
