    Isn't the new app already out? It's called Final Fantasy Portal, although it's a hub for everything Final Fantasy rather than FFXIV. Not sure if they've planned anything else...

    They are planning a new 3.x compatible Libra Eorzea but the release date is unknown. It may be accessed through the FF Portal app but won't be part of it, AFAIK.
