    Most likely never going to be a feature. Such weapons would contribute to raid exclusiveness, where encounters are designed taking said special ws's into account, and players being barred from raiding because they don't have said weapon.

    Anyone remember moogle fist weapons in 1.0 having stars and exclamation effects coming out of the point of impact?

    Oh yea, my legacy 1.0 friend mentioned that. Didn't all the moogle weapon's animations get nerfed? /sadface Like they told me the pld sword's moogle face made expressions and blinked and stuff. He's like a little statue now but the wings wiggle atleast.

    PS3 limitations?

    Maybe they will include this with the 3.1 relics? just plan on making it so those relic weapons will stick around for longer and when new classes are added their version of the relic weapon quest is easier up until the current peak. so like if we got a new class when the new relic weapons were at five evolutions and they were getting evolution six and seven the new classes relic would follow the same path with reduced requirements up until it reached five, and then would have the same requirments to reach six and seven.

    I doubt they would add this because it would make balancing even harder. Nice idea though.

    I'd like some interchangeable proc on the relic weapons. Although we could eventually choose our stats for our 2.x legendary it felt not as rewarding considering how easy it was, relatively, to get a primal/tomb weapon.

    I agree with the comments, Square enix will you please give new weapon skills to end game or high tier relics weapon's or static effects for end game gear

    I think the only way this would work is once you have acquired said Skill is then you have it for life, as Cheire mentioned once you get a better weapon that dose not have the skill any more you will have people like "but I like this skill" And other reason also Cheire Mentioned and let's not forget if they do add it to relic not all people will have as a few people don't enjoy the relic quest.

    I really don't see this happening because of the whole "not wanting to make a weapon mandatory" thing. The closest we'll get is armor set's being a thing, or very customizable item glamor such as glows, attack effects, or changing what a spell looks like.

    I would rather not, carrying scrubs is already enough effort without them purposely making them selves even weaker to have some flashy low damage skill.

    Maybe if it was implemented in a way that doesn't interfere with your overall build it would be alright, everyone will just go for the same thing once it's proven to be best though.

    Two ways maybe more as I can see it being added without it being outdated by next gear ilvl.
    1. The weapon with skill trait on it can be researched by you or freind crafter and then able to learn it, but it destroys said item and then can attach/overwrite on a more current weapon/gear.
    2. Upgradable weapon or gear where you go threw sets of trails similar maybe to relic perhaps were the stats increase as the ilvl increases keeping them relevant.
    Just couple of idea of maybe imo.

    how about this lets say you grind for like a month to get this fabled weapon and weapon skill. Implementing something like this I think would work, lets say you 100% bond to your new weapon, then after 100% you have the choice to convert your weapon, allowing you to permanently keep the weapon skill. Easier said then done of course grinding time consuming high tier quest would be a must of course to keep the skill, but possible for peps who really want to keep the skill.

    just blew you guys fkin minds I know lol ;p
