Power-leveling is absolutely BROKEN

lv50 is not the final cap. powerleveling is there regardless either how it is now or out side healing.
the thing that destroyerd the balence of the game was people hitting lv50 in the first 2 weeks the game came out everything before 1.18 was super easy and you got tons of exp fighting, gathering and synthing

You can't have an MMO where people can, in any way, be power leveled through 80% of the levels in a matter of hours. That's absurd. If that is possible, it's game-breaking. End of conversation, no debate.

So..?? You can achieve a higher level amazingly fast...
Now multiply that for all the DOW and DOM.... and now for the future jobs in 1.20... even if leveling just got easier.. you still can level up LOTS of classes.


Plus... lets say that you achieve a 50 in your DOW and DOM.. you still have

Beastman strongholds
Gathering (DOL)
Crafting (DOH)
Chocobo (I think they said something about raising it)
Quests
Mainstream quests
Grand Companies
Caravans
Materia system to hunt, gather and improve your equipment.


The way I see... they are focusing in GAMEPLAY and content.. rather than grinding.. they are just taking the grinding out of the game and focusing more on other aspects.

My ls did mass powerleveling today... it is broken but honestly if you want to do endgame stuff fast it is going to be done.

Took 7 people 20-40 to raptors at Iron lake, I went on my 50 mar. gathered 6-8 raps aoed them all down in about 30secs. and got the whole group about 7k per raptor group.

The rest of my ls did the bstmen settlements in 2 partys (basically an alliance) to farm the chest and get materia, they took a rank 38 into it because the lowers group filled up... when that nights events where done that 38 was now 43. That is a ton of sp btw in about 3hrs.

SE needs to get alot more top end content in the game with this new system. SE more or less removed the leveling curve if you party now.

The issue is this patch did not help partying at all, it is just encouraging pwrlvl groups (they need to put the sp penatly back in for level range too large in the group and this patch would be ok even though sp would still be sky high). You will have some low levels and a high level killing everything, that is not how it should be. People can use well only if people choose to, well that is the optimal way now so it will be done. If someone does think that is right all I can say is wtf? Grouping should be a focus in the whole game, the whole leveling experience. This atm is just a quick rush to endgame where players will not even know what sentinel or Aegis Boon does.

Ignorance at it's finest. You throw a exploitable mechanic in a MMO, and expect players will not exploit it.

Okay, this seriously needs to be fixed immediately.

Now, before you all say, "Oh come on dude, why you gotta crap on something so awesome," honestly think about it. The consequences will be a domino effect that just might force SE to do a server rollback.

Here's an example: I just got 25,000EXP in less than five minutes. From level 24 to 25 with a friend killing and chaining crabs for me in my party.

The above is far far too extreme. Given these possibilities, and even more if she killed something at a higher level, everyone will exploit the crap out of this and no one will have a job below level 40 within a month. Do we really want this? Do we want to make the journey to cap so utterly pointless?

I'm really concerned for the future of this game if this is what SE intended in this patch! This is bad, really bad. Please, SE, let's get an emergency maintenance and fix this before it is too late!

I don't think it's that bad. It's the only thing keeping some of my friends from immediately quitting again due to the lack of some very basic/standard MMO features... Plus, I don't see it being nearly as effective mid-late levels as it is in the low levels.

You do? Did you never play FFXI? Did you never visit low level instances in WoW? Powerleveling is, and always has been, in every MMO. Whether they are doing it in instances or in plain sight, well that depends on the design of the game. But it always exists.

I wish to add tot his topic and say that power leveling is overpowered now compared to before which was done anyways. My friend went from level 35-44 in 2 hours from a raptor party level 45+ this is ridiculous. Anyone else who disagree this is not broken as hell is either just ignorant/ does not want people to rain on their parade.

If they make getting levels this stupidly easy everyone will be roaming around with all class to level 50 and have nothing else to do and just whine about game having no content,etc.

currently there is no cap for penalty for being in a party with anyone this is too much. When i first started playing this game i always told my friend that if you could AoE a lot of enemy and just get super retarded xp because he was level 40 and i was 1 and was getting max cap xp/sp and he just laughed and said it would break the game.....well now that same joke came to reality and now its insanity.

SE needs to address this asap, good thing someone had the cojone to say it thank you.

P.S- level 1-25 in 30 minutes @.@ SE needs to trow down the hammer.
