The current power-leveling exploit creates two "issues" worth discussion.
    1. The ability to gain a massive number of levels in a short amount of time (days instead of weeks or months).
    2. The detrimental effect it has on people who do not wish to use it to form light and full parties.

Arguing semantics, who is or is not anti-social, etc, is not worthy of discussion ... and does not address these two issues.

The question I have for the community is a simple one.

"Do you want FFXIV to be a game with very rapid leveling ... or not?"

For me it is a Yes I want there to be rapid leveling. Due to the nature of the armory system (needing to rank up multiple classes to be worth a damn) and the fact that Yoshi-P clearly stated long ago that he wants FFXIV to focus on endgame and not leveling it would only make sense that you can level quickly.

Well Krausus, I guess my next question for you is how rapid do you want your leveling to be? Throw up some loose numbers and lets try and quantify this. I'll start off.

    1 Level / Hour
    • That's 8 levels / day if you play FFXIV 9-to-5.
    • That's 40 levels / week if you play FFXIV like it's your job.
    • You'll reach level cap in one class in about a week.
    • You'll cap every combat class in less than 2 months.
    • You'll cap ALL the classes in 5 months.

Is my example rapid enough in your opinion?

I think it depends on level range, I think 1 -40 should go rather quickly and then 40+ should go no PL possible I currently like the rate it is at now since pleveling 40+ really isnt the most efficient way. Also if you where not able to Plevel 40+ that gives folks more then enough time to learn their class well enough that they dont suck at 50
