Lol what? This is me trying to take back a camp from a PL party because my party had to "try" and find another good grind spot.

It's also showing AFK PL going on.

Can't prove they are afk with a screenshot.

Looks like to me you are trying to harass a group of people leveling by stealing their mobs from them.

Why would you do that? Were you there first? If not you are the one in the wrong.

How am I the one in the wrong when they are exploiting the system with an oust/invite PL party? Stealing their mobs doesn't necessarily make me better but it proves a point that I can't level with a regular party in a good grind spot becuase a PL party has taken over it.

Honestly, I was just asking what was actually happening in the screenshot. Now that you've told us (and shown us) we can get right into the usual discussion of what is right and what is wrong ... which seems to be well underway.

But at this point, someone from Faction #2 (how a player gains XP is his own business and as long as it doesn't subtract XP from any other player, it doesn't hurt anyone and should not be restricted. Anyone who wants to restrict it is a Fascist) should submit some evidence that what they suggest is true ... or be in danger of having their position invalidated by the existing evidence.

A screenshot of a Full Party sharing a camp with a PL-Party would be ideal to refute the existing evidence. But other evidence or testimonials are also acceptable, but won't be as strong unless they are significant in number.

Again, I'm trying to keep my bias out, and I hope to encourage a fact-based discussion. Let's see how we do.

SE, as a former FFXI player, what kept me in the game for all the years that I did stay, was the challenge. The game forced you to be social and interact with others in order to succeed. Here, all you need is to know one or two other people and you get a free ride to the top...

Power Leveling has got to stop... it's not only ruining the future of the game, it's ruining it for the people that currently play and don't even realize it...

There have been plenty of statements made in this thread that validate why power leveling on this scale is a ticking time bomb...

level sync should of been in the game since day 1, they designed this game to be solo play ok awesome but now u cant even solo. takes nearly a month just to solo to 50 maybe more i no it took me 2 weeks to solo till 32 ><

Now there isnt any partys i have not seen 1 party shout or even a party on my server this last week just pling. i acully had to pay people to party with me which got me thinking y should i be paying other people my level just so i can level when i can pay a pler and just get it over and done with.

Since SE wont fix this and bring out dam level sync you might as well try and use what we have got. the worst part is i hate being pled i hate not knowing my job and god i hate not being able to meet new people and talking to my party while were exping wtf SE what are u guys going to do about this?

This is stupid, While your at it make them wear your favorite color. What a player does with there time on the game is there own business and should not be policed by another player. where people get the idea they have any right to police everyone else is beyond me. It is a game with levels, some will get it through quests some grinding, how or how long or how simple they behave to reach there own personal goals is there own business and not for you to decide. This game has requirements that are level based, naturally some people will want to get these benefits fast. What most people fail to realize is that power leveling dosnt take away from the game and the entire idea of stopping power leveling is an insult. the amount of XP it takes to level is set in stone. if it takes X experience to get to lvl Y, then how a player reaches it is to each his own. Trying to stop power lvling is like ordering all players to stop soloing content. Just enjoy the game, accept that everyone has a right to play the game.

This could be more evidence of power-leveling hindering regular party playability. However it isn't irrefutable evidence unless you can provide screenshots and/or date, time, timezone, and server. The last part is important because SE has the means of actually checking the data logs to see actually what was happening and the context in which it was happening. At that point it stops becoming subjective opinion, and starts becoming empirical fact.

Do you think fraps videos of how PL mechanics are effecting the game bring something not yet known by the dev team? I can make those videos and post them here, part of the player base would say "yeah so what" the other part would say "this needs to get abolished stat!"
So it comes down to the devs. Yoshi said he himself thinks PL is fine, because the higher rank player is taking his time to level the lower player.
What I wonder is did they think the system would be abused in such a way? I don't think they thought that far ahead when they made the system.

I think the best those of us that are ANTI-PL can hope for is further revisions to the claim system once ver 2.0 arrives.
