PLing is an option for players who wish to PL.

Players who do not wish to PL have the option to not PL.

I guess I can agree with this. If you want to hit 50 in less than a month then go for it. If you want to enjoy the content and do all there is to do then go for it.

Reason #1 this game still has a chance. It's the brand. You give it a chance because it's a FF. So will others.

Lord of the Rings is probably the most beloved and influential fantasy IP in existence. They made an MMO out of it and it didn't do so well. It eventually ended up having to go F2P. Same thing happened with Dungeons and Dragon and Star Trek. All of these IPs have a huge reputation and extremely passionate fans.

Yoshi-P is not the creator of FFXIV, but he is the person who decides if something is allowed or not in FFXIV, so he is in charge of if something is being used in a way that was not intended. And the argument that now there are just "different options" for people that don't want to grind is extremely shortsighted. If this quick option exists, too many people will use it for the alternative to survive in any meaningful capacity. If the option for easy exists, very few people choose hard, for a multitude of reasons, even if they were people who would have preferred a less-easy route.

Please note the above quote. How much direct weight are we giving what Yoshi-P says? Yoshi is the poster-child right now, and Public Relations is a tricky job. Yes he is the producer, but he is also the voice of FFXIV. That's a tough job, to speak to an angry mob on a variety of topics.

So stop using what he said in the live interview as a decree of law. Powerleveling is, in fact, outrageous and broken. It needs to be fixed.

Don't be silly. Synthesis is essentially repeatedly pressing the same button for hours. Surely no being with a brain as advanced as a human's could find any stimulus in that? Everyone I know watches movies or something while doing it.

Besides, unless you're posting on an alt, I can see that your highest craft is at L10. You've seen nothing yet.

Even after being plvld im still going to do all my leves, im still going to visit low lvl dungeons, im still gonna do low lvl content...(25 ifrit or any other content required to finish a quest). Im still going to look for gear for my lower lvl classes, im going to help my friends level, Im still going to complete low level side quests. And im still going to try out any content yoshi-p throws at me. Why? Because i have that choice to.
