Instead of summarizing the same regurgitated arguing points why dont you factually prove the point?

So far the basis of this thread is founded upon "in my opinion..."

Please further your opinion with facts.

Please tell us all: Exactly how, in minute detail, does PLing ruin FFXIV? How does it effect the economy?

Exactly what is "too much exp"? Which global convention or standard do you base your rants validity upon?

I doubt you even know or can validate your accussations with hard facts.

Case proven.
Here's one small example of how it can destroy the game: crafting classes can't advance anywhere close to as fast. The entire crafting comunity will lag HUGELY behind the combat classes if the current setup remains, which will contribute significantly to destroying the economy. For one, lower level gear will become almost completely useless

If you can reach the cap in 8 hours, what is even the point of having a vast open world if you can just be powerleveled through the game at warp speed in basically one spot? You're never going to explore any area with lower level content.

What is the point of even having any sub-level-50 gear of any significance in the game?

What is the point of having NM's in the game below level 50?

What is the point in having level 25 raids?

The entire point of view that people who think this is OK are coming from is absurd, and does not fit this game whatsoever. Reaching the cap as quickly as people now can WILL hurt it, no debate. It's just the logical conclusion and arguing that it's ok is ridiculous.

And the argument that now there are just "different options" for people that don't want to grind is extremely shortsighted. If this quick option exists, too many people will use it for the alternative to survive in any meaningful capacity. If the option for easy exists, very few people choose hard, for a multitude of reasons, even if they were people who would have preferred a less-easy route.
