The entire post outlines how it affects my gameplay. They are all facets and consequences of it. Read between the lines.I'm pretty sure you didn't, because none of those reasons you gave effect *your* game experience in any way whatsoever. Just because someone leveled up faster than you doesn't take away the fun or the challenge you had/felt while doing it yourself... Unless you didn't have fun, in which there ain't much I can say other than you might need to look into another game.
So instead of asking for clarification you challenge my intelligence. Bravo. Line of conversation ended.

All I can say about this is.. get on the train while you can. SE is not dumb at all. let me clear this to you as of right now they are just trying to keep us busy and giving us Candy eye per say .They will fix this eventually and they know It wont matter to much if someone has all the DoW/M at 50 since the new jobs are coming and you will have to start to leveling again at least that is my point of view. Once they release the new jobs they will also fix the crazy amount of exp you can get by PWL .
Alright I'll bite: What I'm getting from reading between the lines is that while the mobs are the same difficulty, have the same abilities, are in the same places, and every other element in the game is entirely the same, the only difference is is that people are having their own fun in a different way, and you will not stand for that.
Could you offer some clarification, or are you going to bail out again?
Man, all I can say is if that's your idea of fun, and in the doubtful scenario that the majority agrees, then this game won't be for me. I said it before, I'll take my money elsewhere when the time comes, if this remains.Alright I'll bite: What I'm getting from reading between the lines is that while the mobs are the same difficulty, have the same abilities, are in the same places, and every other element in the game is entirely the same, the only difference is is that people are having their own fun in a different way, and you will not stand for that.

Because if it remained as such, there wouldn't be a point to even having levels. It would be an entirely new genre of game. And this new genre wouldn't be one I enjoy. If FFXIV becomes this in the end, I'll find myself a "classic style MMO" because I'm too old for the new generation that doesn't want to work for their progression in a MMO.
I don't want to play an action-style game where time spend on leveling doesn't matter and gear/player skill determines all. Sure, that's fine for endgame, but endgame comes at the- Oh, wait for it- END. Do I need to define "end?" Endgame, as in, the options available to you after reaching the END of what you were progressing for.
But no, these concepts must be becoming too antiquated for the new generation to accept. I'm too old school. Maybe this will not be the MMO for me.

So what you're trying to say is... Your idea of fun is a time-sink to reach max level? While that's an important part of the RPG genre, and shouldn't be completely removed from it, you're taking this way too personal. And if it's not something your okay with, you're free to quit anytime. Yoshi-P stated that he doesn't consider it Power Leveling to enjoy doing things with your friends, regardless of level.Man, all I can say is if that's your idea of fun, and in the doubtful scenario that the majority agrees, then this game won't be for me. Bite your tongue, and walk away. You're not going to convince anyone who makes decisions.
On a completely unrelated note, a friend of mine speaks and reads fluent japanese, and the english boards are the only ones throwing tantrums and whining about this and that. Learn from them. Take some time to understand the game in it's entirety to formulate an opinion before you 'speak'. Otherwise, your ramblings are just speaking volumes to the community of your mental shortcomings as a player.
@YellowBlueBus: Agreed. Another point to mention, PLing is a perfect way to earn exp when you're focused on spiritbinding. R40 Leves anyone?
