Power-leveling is absolutely BROKEN

The exp is pretty horrid unless you have someone helping you out. Making it so higher level friends can't help you isn't the way to fix the game.

Had someone at level cap helping us do leves went by pretty fast we got a lot of exp. got about 30k exp in 30 min. He had to go so my friend and I did 1 leve without him and it took about 20 mins for 2k exp. So yea exp sucks with a small group and lower level people do not want really slow grindy exp.

Have you even played FFXI in abyssea where you can pay someone gil go afk for like 6 hours and come back and be level capped.

Having a high level person help you out is no different then FFXI exping you in abyssea. Only its still slower in FFXIV.

Its your choice to be cheating, at the end this is a game, AND GAMES ARE MADE TO BE PLAYED, so play it without cheating and you might even enjoy it, they should put back the level cap thing i grant you that, ok thats it for a few days.

Only its not cheating and you obviously haven't played FFXI where exp has been pretty similar for the past year or more, only its faster to get to cap in FFXI then it is in FFXIV.

You see, the scenario you stated here is what Yoshida originally envisioned. Someone just helping you out while you and your friend tried to pull your weight. A friendly helping hand, which is IMO not a problem. The issue with the system now however is a rank 50 helping a rank 1 get to 30-40 without the rank 1 doing a single thing.

So yeah, I don't know how Yoshida will find a way to find a balance between the extreme we have now and the pre 1.19 extreme of restricted levels and single claims.

Also, don't worry, Yoshida stated in another post that guildleve difficulty is going to be lessened to be a bit more doable for the effort you put into it. As many others have pointed out, when in doubt, lower the difficulty so that the mob levels are below you and your friends' level so you can complete it more quickly.

They should make a system that you most do a % of the work to get the EXP this would stop powerlevel. If he want people to take 2-3month to level and still add powerlevel that not going to work out.

I got 1-40 on conj by doing party and that did not take 2month more like 6days.

Pre-level cap increase past 75 in FFXI -- EVERYONE was exactly the same way about people hitting 75. Half of the people in a linkshell would congratulate them, the other half would go "Lol, no do the other 19 jobs, like I did." Hell, people with all level 50s already treat people like that in FFXIV EVEN BEFORE 1.19 CAME OUT.

People are dicks. Just because it takes you longer to level up won't change that people who hit level cap -- regardless of how long it takes -- will care less and less about whatever other people are doing...

I... ugh... This is blowing my mind.
