Power-leveling is absolutely BROKEN

Yea everyone thay doesn't agree with you are a lost cause and a troll, i'm sorry this game doesnt turns into the way YOU wants to.. But please dont be ignorant and thinks everyone and their mom is gonna be asking for powerlevel because they won't, powerlevel was already possible pre-patch and i rarely see anyone does it, its usually only for alts that is on auto follow and yes, i agree extreme powerlevelling might proof to hurt the game the way abyssea are where you can take any class to max level in a day. But, that is not the case here. U cant PL above 35+ efficiently probably and will be better off PTing.

If the new claiming system makes future content to bemore dynamic and engaging and the benefit outweigh the PL issues, then i have no worry. Grind doesnt have to be excessive.

You shouldn't be able to power level at all. idk why there are not penalties for players not close in level leveling each other. Those 35 levels you just blew by were suppose to have key points where you actually learned how you class worked and strategy on how to work by yourself and with a group of the same level. what was the dunes in xi but the point it time where people figured out how to actually use their job?

I agree that PL shouldnt exist but i stopped reading when you tells me beating up crabs helps u learn how to do HNMs, i'm sorry nobody learn those while grinding of crabs and crawler.

o.o i learn how to play within a party how to do my role as a samurai. When i got to Sky my first endgame was Kirin you learn a great lot from Partying. What type of spell does what and how to avoid them like Sleep and where you stand and how you do your role. You grow and fight diff type of mob which most HNM have the same type of JA,WS,Spell or even the same look just HNM type.

I will agree to certain extent that party does help in some area like healers would be better when it comes to healing in group, melees learns to avoid conal moves or moving away from mages etc. But if everyone was so already great in skill after a ling grinding, no one would wipe in darkhold.. That was my point, endgame mechanic and basic mechanic are entirely different in XIV and you learn those from experiencing the dungeon firsthand and not from grinding.

ANY mob, be it a crab or a damn marmot, if it is the right level to totally trash the group if you don't know how to kill it fast requires skill and you learn skill by being in a party that defeats them. I see how you could think that a group taking down a mob who is strong enough to wipe the team is someone slips doesn't require skill.

I also feel the raptor parties need to die a painful death and there needs to be rewards for going after big mobs in parties

Do you not remember the excessive whining that occurred because of all of the people claiming they couldn't group with their friends because of the +5 -10 rules before? Yeah, that's why. Loud minority complain about something... SE changes it to suit the minority, THEN everyone complains. That's how things roll around here

Yes, 35 levels of mindless grinding breeds true skill.

Lets not go hypotethical and thinks reality, which random r35 can drags 2-3 friends that is r50 to willingly PL them? If you have such a great friends, kudos to you. But that is just not the case with 90-95% of the playerbase, there are reason why most PL only consist of one person that is PLing, you dont just ask for PL and 3 person magically show up to help bunch of lowbies. Humans are not that nice.

And again if you have the money to afford PL chances are you already knows how the game works and doesnt need days of mindless beating raptors to learn the game (which was the initial argument that people cant learn their job well) and thats why you are just skipping out the painful part, also not all players can afford these luxuries.
