    Dravanian Language/Naming Conventions?

Will we be getting more information on this eventually/ingame/on forums? We hear so much of it used during the HW storyline, I'm very curious to lean more. But as much fun as it is running around attempting to translate things myself, I'm not really a linguist and I'm sure I'm messing things up quite muchly. I've started going back to watch cutscenes with Hraesvelgr to see what I can pick up.

For example, something I've noticed, the older dragons from pre-Haldrath vs. Nidhogg seem to have Norse inspired names, and younger dragons have what seem to be names in Draconic - like Toh Y Thrah and Kal Mykh. Is there a reason for this? Do dragons change their names as they reach adulthood (except for Ess Khas)?

I am thinking that single-word/ Norse-inspired named Dragons are a sign of rank, more or less.

We see that Ess Khas who's already and adult and a father still has a draconic name despite his potential age.

So yes, I do think that if a dragon is strong enough to lead they are then bestowed a name maybe by a great wyrm they swore allegiance to?

So far, all the norse-named dragons we've bumped into where all very strong; either sub bosses of dungeons or in FATEs. The ones with the Draconic names seem to be on the weaker side

So what does that mean for decidedly non-Norse names like Bahamut, Tiamat, or Twintania?

Nidhogg, Hrasvelgr, and Ratatoskr, along with their respective broods are Dravanians. Bahamut, Tiamat, Potentially their unknown sibling that escaped, and Twintania were Myracidians.

So Dravanians could have Nordic based names while Myracidians could have Arabic Based names since Bahamut and Tiamat come from Arabic mythology.

I disagree. Isilgild (or whatever it's name was) from Stone Vigil's infinitely weaker than the weaker mobs in early Dragavian Forelands - including the 3 newborn whelps you beat up during one sidequest.

That's a gameplay specific thing though - from a lore standpoint, that dragon would be considered rather powerful, I think.

I mostly wonder how many other specifically named dragons we're going to meet (I swear, one of the seven children on Midgardsormr has to be Shinryu), and if the Draconic-named dragon names have specific meanings? Like, is Toh Y Thrah "Lover of Food" or something? I know some people have tried to figure out specific translations for Draconic based off the lyrics from the Heavensward Theme, but I'm not sure that helps us unless we come across some dragonling named "Tharl Afah"...
