Abandon The Ties that Bind

I would really like to abandon the quest "The Ties that Bind" so i can transfer servers to where my friends play. however since i cant transfer while the quest is being undertaken and my partner does not play anymore i cant complete it and would like to abandon.

I would like an actually response and not - "Sometimes it can be helpful to also speak with other members of our community." i will seriously go blind with rage if i see that crap again.

Perhaps a GM could assist you in-game, to cancel the quest?

It's probably one of the toughest to cancel, since it is inter-related to two players on the server.

i tried to get in game support from gms twice. Each time i requested help they told me to go to the forums, so thats why im here.

a "Resign the quest" button would be perfect. This thread should not only be a request to resign this quest (as in Hard-resigned by a GM which I suspect is currently the only feasible solution) but a request for implementing a feature that allows us to resign it, just like any quest.

In my case, I have reached this quest to the point I have to pick a time and date for the wedding, which can't be done alone and has to be with your bride/husband. I can't even pick a random roegadyn to marry instead at this point.

Please GM, help.

Im at the same point. I had no idea that you couldnt just marry a random at that stage... well now im completely screwed.

Hello again my friends. I wish to abandon "The Ties that Bind" quest so i can transfer servers. i have already made a a forums thread and completed the support feedback from the other 4 times i have contacted gms. According to the forums alot of other players want this same thing but have gotten no reply. I just want to line your pockets with my loads of dosh but you have successfully rejected me at every turn. Now, a lesser man would have given up, but thats not how i do it. I will contact you guys till this gets resolved even if thats 4 times a day for the next 2 years. The day i dont get a copy-pasted response will be the day i ascend into heaven. If you guys have a number i could call i would gladly call and hopefully then we could get this issue resolved.

My friends are poor and dont have the money for the monthly sub and to transfer so i must do it in their stead. I am the super glue that holds us together and you square enix are ripping us apart with your salty support system.

I hope we can all move past this and move into greener pastures but this has to be resolved the fate of everything relies on it. I will be waiting for your response since i still have to reply 2 more times today.

So finally got an answer and to abandon the quest you need to talk to the NPC Sanctum Acolyte at the sanctum of the twelve.
