On the flip side, Flames have been doing amazing these two weeks.
On the flip side, Flames have been doing amazing these two weeks.
They seem to work better when que times start to slow down. It happens almost every time new content is patched in. Less casual players clogging up our ranks with stupidity = better and funner matches.
ATM on primal: Adders are pretty free, Mael does nothing but sit back and chill while flames and adders duke it out like usual.
I for one, would like to hand maelstrom their asses to them, but there's still people on flames who tunnel vision adders like crazy.
Pot calling the kettle black, right here.
Things look that way from your end, but it's often a very similar picture on the Flames end too. There are days where you'd swear the Mael are invisible to Adders because they could be right next to one another, but Adders would fight Flames instead.
I don't blame Adders though. Neither of us do it more or less than the other. It's just that there is literally no trust between our two GC's anymore. 9 times out of 10, when I'm in a match in which the Flames are responsible for tunneling Adders it's usually because the general consensus in the group is that if we don't, Adders will rear end us. When we fight Mael, if the node dies we can typically trust them to back off of us. I can't say the same for Adders, and I'm sure its similar on your end too. You don't trust us, and we don't trust you. So we stay in conflict all the time and Mael gets a free ride. I think it will take something pretty dramatic (like removing GC's) at this point to change that.
You speak like as if I'm a dirty badders, and that's wrong.
It usually ends up like this: Adders want to fight us, we beat their ass, and they keep coming for more, and soon enough maelstrom realizes what's up they come to clean things up like the passive bads they are. I've seen a lot of mael wins where on the first page of "damage done" tab, there isn't even a single mael member on it.
All of my matches are focused on getting maelstrom 3rd place, know why? Because it's usually them getting the win in the end because adders keep wanting to fight - or people in our GC wanted to farm for heads; I'm sorry I have to keep killing them all the time because they wanted to be killed.

Ah, my mistake. Your wording made it sound like you were on the Adders side, and usually when I hear people bi...complaining about Flames tunnel vision it's usually an Adder who is butt sore from getting a spanking, and then trying to use the "Flames only ever attack us" garbage as an excuse (which is kind of how this whole thread got started).
I sympathize with this. Like I said, there is no trust between Adders and Flames. When Flames and Mael fight, the fight ends when there's no reason to fight anymore. We will let each other go. When Flames and Adders fight, we seem to get locked into it for the entire match. If we try to leave, they chase. If they try to leave, we chase. It's gotten to the point where most of us will keep fighting just because we don't trust them to not shove a sword up our butts the moment we look away from them. It's not horrible, but it gets awfully stale only fighting the same team over and over and over....
Meh, I kind of like it better this way. If it was just a robotic "go to tomeliths, get nodes, etc, etc" it'd be a bit uneventful. At least, uneventful in the sense of the lack of emotional content. When Adders try to push, my brain immediately goes "these faggots think they got chutzpah???". And vice versa. Especially considering that in 72 man seige, it's more mob tactics than skill and it adds a bit of flavor to that fake hatred....
Does that kind of game play lead to embarrassing losses? Unquestionably.
But it's fun and on the rounds where the eso grinders are in the majority, you have to find your smiles one way or another.
I'm not trying to get into a pissing match with the flames cause at the end of the day I respect them much more than I do the adders for the most part. They don't carry that stigma that follows the adders in being perceived as a cowardly, conniving collection of players that just look to spawn camp all day and try to farm the last place team for kills. This is pretty much the reason we end up leaving you alone as well as why we have certain factions within the GC that enjoy pushing adders back to the point of spawn camping them. For the most part Flames playstyle is usually more akin to what I wish the Maelstrom's attitude would be in terms of how aggressive they are. That being said though man you sure are full of contradictions, bias (confirmation and otherwise) and rhetoric in the form of circular logic in your criticisms lol. Here's what I mean:
Ok so what are you talking about when you say this?
"Cleaning up" is exactly what I'm referring to when I talk about stepping on your throat (thus the boot reference). I was saying we don't do that enough but apparently according to you we do so I guess we arent quite as "passive" as you and I originally thought lol.
>.> Umm well yeah thats not a surprise considering you already posted yourself the reason for this when you said the following so what of it:
And then this:
idk why you would even admit to this even if you do feel this way since its such a loser's mentality. This very thread has so many pages with flame players lamenting having to deal with people who think like this.
Lastly regarding your GC's premade "Clean up crew" they are indeed skilled and formidable I will not deny that but don't act like they are invincible. They have lost against pug versions of Maelstroms/Adders before. Going 12-2 in a premade against Pugs also isnt that big of a deal considering I, and many other ppl more skilled than I, can do that in pugs.

Be glad that its all we do. I like to play really aggressively and voice myself as such by calling to attack the 2nd place GC even if we in first holding 2 nodes while the other 2 GCs are attacking each other but as a whole Maelstrom is extremely passive and incredibly reluctant to do so unless provoked. This "sit back and watch the fireworks" attitude backfires about as often as it works, and sometimes we end up losing to a GC that is more aggressive, but when a collective mind has it in their heads to NEVER be offensive when holding 2 nodes regardless of circumstance there isnt much you can do but concede to the tactic even if you dont agree with it. If it was up to me though I would step on the throat of that second place GC everytime I see the two GC tunnel each other like that. And since flames are more often than not our main competition you would end up being on the receiving end of that boot lol.

LOL BE GLAD, can't remember the last time that maelstrom came out and beat us on an engage.
Be glad that the Ultros Clean up Crew isn't on mop-up duties at the moment.
