Queue times for content getting long?

I've noticed that, whenever I'm on my healer instead of my tank, my queue times start getting horrendously long, 5 minutes, 10 minutes, even sometimes 20 minutes.

And DPS queues, well, just lol.

Meanwhile, my tank queues are instant. Anyone else noticing this gradually getting worse, or am I just unlucky?

Crystal tower as usual between 1.5 hours to infinite

Daily Expert, pretty much with in 15min as DPS

High level, Main Scen, both my healer and DPS is about 5-30 min

Leveling about the same

i dont see queuing as Healer significant faster than DPS

and the average wait time is absurd, e.g. sometimes i get average wait time over 30min, but i get into a party with less than 5 min

sometimes it say average 5 min, i wait over 40 min to get a party

I waited as a tank for about five minutes for duty roulette this morning. Surprised me!

My queue times as dps and healer have been pretty decent lately. For the past few days I've registered, started to run beast tribe quests, and couldn't even get partway through the quest before the duty popped.

Let's just stop fighting how players like to play their classes and let DRG queue as tanks.

That'll fix everything.

I'm a WHM main, and I approve this message. It will make my DF runs interesting.

Regardless of levelling or max level queues, nothing's going to change because levelling through dungeons as a tank/healer isn't efficient anymore due to a few reasons:

1. FATEs and levequests are just much better for exp.
2. Chance of getting low/bad DPS players because it's Duty Finder.
3. More tanks/healers prefer to run with people they know (FC mates/Friends/Linkshells) than to gamble on the chance of point no.2

Ego from here to Toky fits pretty well, because I am in Tokyo.
Most tanks I met are people like you and me, or rather say, they are you and me.

There is no 'them' - I know, I know, the new X-Files series starts soon :P

Every time a thread like this pops up, I wonder if I am playing a different game than everyone else...

I have seen 1 rotten apple in the last 3 months! ONE! It was a tank btw.
I play as a healer and as a DPS, and never see the DPS or Healers be jerks to the tanks. And I also never see the tanks be jerks to others.
When people want a faster run, they just ask nicely, and the last time this happened, the tank nicely replied that he will try it, but he thinks he is undergeared for bigger pulls - pretty sure nobody would blame him if he were to die, and I was easily able to keep him alive anyways...

Also I really don't get people crying about STR tanks.
VIT is pretty much useless in the majority of content. It doesn't offer any sort of mitigation, nor does it heals make hit higher. It only gives the tanks more HP! That ONLY helps against burst damage! It doesn't matter whether a tank has 14k HP, or 20k HP, if you only heal them for 3k, if you are able to keep them up in VIT gear, you will also be able to keep them up in STR gear. And STR gear makes fights shorter = less danger.

Well, at least for the expert roulette dungeons, DD's (chaos datacenter) queues aren't much different from the times you say healers have.

The queues for healers are longer than they used to be though, but I don't know why. More players on healers now? Or just extremely few tanks.

As someone who only plays DPS jobs, I can't really sympathize with you though...

If the reward would be interesting, ppl could get motivated to switch from their main role to the missing role.

Healers are getting longer queues because either there are a lot more healers now, or the number of tanks have gone down a lot... either way, healers aren't a "missing role" at the moment for those dungeons.

It's great if players are motivated to switch roles for something like that, but what's needed right now, is tanks, not healers... More healers are not gonna help make the queues go faster.
