It's weird we are hopping to 3.07 already.
It's weird we are hopping to 3.07 already.
Except by that logic, where's 3.1, 3.2, 3.3, and 3.4? Basically they move in by fractions going to half then 3 quarters, unless there's 5 patches in between. 3.75 would be more apt in describing the patch number. Unfortunately you can't completely use Xeno's Paradox to number everything.
No. 3.07 comes before 3.1 as x.07 is 7 hundredths whereas x.1 is 10 hundredths. It can also be written as 3.10,which may confuse you less.
As for why we went 3.05 to 3.07 - odd numbers are used for minor patches with important additions. Even numbers are used for the major patches, eg 3.0, 3.1 etc.
Seems like the question went over the previous poster's heads. OP, they probably have both 3.06 and 3.07 planned out and only had noteworthy things to say about 3.07 in the Live Letter.
Or 3.06 was an internal build that will be included in 3.07.
That happens all the time.
The big problem is that they're calling it .07.
By usual convention it should be 3.0.7 - which means Expansion level 3, Major patch level 0, Minor patch level (think tweaks and bugfixes) 7. This would allow a long series of Minor patches in one Major patch, even up to the counter-intuitive 3.0.10.
This topic...
I don't even.......
after 2.55 we get 3.0 :/
I think it's up to SE to make the version number of the patch.
do you think we got every single x.x1 as a patch?
