The 10 Silver Chocobo feathers that go to the recruitee yesterday got me 3 ilvl 120 pieces (Ironworks Chest, Pants & Weapon)... and I have about 18 free aetheryte tickets left. Think you can get some 90s gear with silver feathers, but don't be tempted, you should get 5 or so 90s as you get close to 50 (even before you finish the main stroyline quest series).

Like others have said, I got a RAF invite from a friend, bought the game, registered me and it (ya better be working from some m$ os because anything else you can't do that with!), entered the code (and my pre-order code), started playing under my 30 free days from buying the game. When the 30 got close to running out, I did a auto-sub and on the day it kicked in, I got the stuff via the moogle.
