    Objective List

I'm wondering if there is a better way to manage this situation... so I have my 6 beast tribe dailies all lined up, I run around doing them, all the quests in my objective list show green arrows (there were 2 others there at the time) AND my map did not show a green area where I had "things to do." I head all the way back to hand them in, only to find that there WAS one lone one that I did NOT complete... AND which also did NOT show any location info on the map.

Now I know I can double check this in the journal, BUT, unless I'm missing something, there was no location info (it could take me a VERY long while running around trying to find the 4 items I need to interact with... one issue I grumbled about is there is no "located above or below you data which I understand USED to be in there until everyone cried and they removed it!).

Is there a way around this dilemma?

Only way to see quest objectives on the map is if the quest you want to do is in the 5 shown in the UI. You can mark them in the log to prioritize and kick out finished ones that you no longer need to show up.

But its annoying anyways, especially with beast tribes coming back i do not look forward to the "do 6 quests per day but only show 5 on the map" until im capped again :/

Once you've completed the first few, go to your journal and check the boxes by the un-completed ones. That will prioritize them into your quest tracker list so they'll show up on the main map.

Or, you can look at them one at a time in the Journal and click the "Map" button below its description. That will bring up a map with the quest location highlighted regardless of whether it's one of the five in your quest tracker or not.

Well, now it's "do 12 quests per day but only show 5 on the map." (They increased the daily allowance for beast tribe quests a couple months ago.)

In beta we could hide all quests (if we wished) and display more than 5 (I *think*) and I don't know why this didn't carry over.

As has been said, the only things displayed on the map are objectives for the current 5 quests shown in the list.

It was only ever 5 (at least in Phase 3). At 2.0's launch (and Phase 4) for whatever bizarre reason, they removed the ability to mark a quest so it made sure those were the ones in the list on the UI, but it got added in shortly after. I don't recall there ever being an option to hide all quests in beta though. You could just go to your UI settings and hide that part of the UI if you wanted.

I see there is a check box by the quests as listed in the Journal... only have one right now, so having it "selected" or not seems to do nothing... logically, it SHOULD mean it is displayed in the UI, while unchecked it doesn't.

But I AM curious what is meant by "You can mark them in the log to prioritize and kick out finished ones that you no longer need to show up." I surmise if you "kick" a completed one out, you lose the fact it is completed, and thus lose any rewards from it.

I think they were just referring to the check-box. So for example what I would do for my beast tribe dailies is do the first 5 in my list (the ones that are by default displayed on the UI, no checkbox or anything) and then once I did those, go into my journal and click the check-box on the 6th that I did not do yet. This would "kick" one of the completed ones out of the list of the 5 on the UI, but it would still be there completed in the journal and the 6th one I just clicked the check-box for would now show up at the top of the list of 5 on the UI.

The ones you mark (you can max mark 5) will be shown in the UI. If you mark not finished quests they will be shown on top, while when you unhook finished quests they will drop below the marked ones.
This only really matters if you got more then 5 quests. If you got 1-5 all quests will be shown in the UI and the only thing a mark will do is change the order they are sorted in the UI =.=

    1. You have a ton of quest "accepted" in your Journal.
    2. You will only ever have them show on your map if they are the first five on the list.
    3. The way you put the 5 on top of the list is to put the check mark (red box checked) next to them on the Journal.
    4. Once you complete one you simple undo the red mark and mark the next one you want to appear.
    It is that simple.
