Gear and settings keep resetting.

Every time I login into the game, my gear goes back to the previous set. For example, my SCH is now ilvl 187, but once I login it keeps going back to ilvl 183. Also settings change as well. Im not sure if this is a "bug" or not, but i would love some help to fix this issue!

It normally occurs once I login, so at least a couple of hours a day..

That's weird.. I'm assuming you're hitting the to try to save your gearsets.
How long has this problem been going on? Did you change anything about your computer around the time when it started?

As far as I know, gearsets are saved clientside. Something like this, for example.
C:\ ... \Documents\My Games\FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn\FFXIV_CHR0000000000000000\GEARSET.DAT
I don't understand why that file wouldn't be getting updated properly.

Its been happening for about 3 days now, and i am hitting the button to save the gearset. I also tried to delete the old gearset and saving it again as a new once (if i explained that alright?). Lastly, nothing has changed about my computer since it happened.

Were you logging out after you saved your gear sets or did you just exit your game? I found if you just close out the game it does not save changes to gear sets even if you hit the button, that may be the issue.

I do log off once i save my gear, and everything else. Also i realized today, on my AST, my recent skills get removed from my hotbar. Im not sure if i should redownload FF14 or something.. I just want it to be fixed

It can be tripped by a permissions problem at the Windows level. Are you launching the game as Admin? Not tat your user is in the Admin group---are you specifically launching the game with the elevated privilege by either right-clicking it or setting it to always run as Admin. That often gets around the more simple problems...if not you may need to refresh the permissions as detailed in a thread we had goign on the topic a few weeks back. Will have to find it and link it in... was back around 8/11 or so.
