If it was the second that then the comparison is wrong since ast is not lacking in popularity but has class issues.

While there were a lot of QoL changes that affect SCH through its initial life cycle, I believe the reason why the 2013 number was so low is because of the fact the job was new. AAR was released on August 27th, 2013. If you take the entire 2013 year, that's only 3 months to get a SCH to whatever threshold S-E considered to be applicable for that statistic. Also consider SCH is an offshoot of a DPS class versus CNJ --> WHM is always healing so that might've detracted some healers initially. There is also the fact that many of those WHMs were probably Legacy players probably all contributed to the huge skew in SCH vs WHM back in 2013.

This is why I'm taking these numbers with a grain of salt. Unless we know exactly how S-E tabulated these results, they show numbers and just numbers.
