Just thought these might be interesting:





Unfortunately the methodology we don't know. But some interesting points

• On the second slide, healer population adds up to 23%. Since it is jobs only, it should be >level 30 only?
• WHM & SCHs lost about the same relative population (9% & 6%, respectively), suggesting either about the same number of people changed their mains, or we have a lot of new healers. Either way, slightly more WHMs jumped ship.
• And, of course, WHM is still the most popular healer. AST is very far behind SCH & WHM.

I do wonder if they are only counting active characters/accounts or anything like that... Slides not shown here showing the average level of characters hint that they might be counting literally everyone.

I like pie charts. I like to think that they determin your main by looking at each players job with the highest item level.

Also, as you said, we don't know about the methodology. I use all 3 healers regularly, what category was I included in during the census ? (if at all, as I also play as dps and tank sometimes)

I'm extremely surprised to see only 4% of DRK, it doesn't match my own experience as a healer at all.

re: DRK... that's one of the things that makes me worried they're counting *all* characters, instead of just active ones. It sure feels like DRKs aren't such a minority among active players.

Well if the current changes are anything to go by, astrologian will drop even lower.
All i see is band aid fixes on gushing wounds.

Amusing that tanks and healers combined don't come near DPS tough.

Geez, 3% AST. lol. The public has spoken. and it Seems WHM keeps it's place as the king/queens of healing, DRG and BLM do not surprise me at all. Big hitters this patch.

The methodology is probably really, really nonsensical, given that they're counting characters that haven't played in 15 months in some of the other slides.

What would be really funny to me is if the vast majority of the healer players were also playing tanks and vice-versa, thus making the disparity far worse than it seems~
