    Caravan quests

So, has anyone else attempted the chocobo caravan quests? Currently a 36 archer trying the 25 Maelstrom caravan at Camp Bloodshore. First attempt, lost pretty much all of the packs and ran out of time right before Wineport. Going for another attempt right now.

Seems like this is quite difficult for a solo player. Not because of mob difficulty, just that there are so many mobs that you can't grab all of them before they reach the chocobos.

I tried on 46 archer with all aoe weaponskills and couldn't quite solo it. Lost the last pack right at the entrance. Maybe can be doable solo but seems a bit hard. A little disappointing, I was hoping it was a solo quest.

Second attempt was a success. The birds never took heavy damage until the last wave, where we got attacked from both sides. Apparently, any of the mobs with "Territorial" in their name will always target the chocobos, which is a bit unfortunate. The NPC at the end told me that we lost most of the cargo, which is a bit crazy. Finished with 2:30 left, gained 1.1k xp and 50 storm seals. Considering seals are currently 2x, normally I would have received 25. So all-in-all, I believe the caravan quests are NOT worth the 20 minutes at all.

First time I did it with a 39 CON (and myself 48 CON). It wasn't that bad as we both had access to AOE spells and could pretty much kill them before they touched the chocobos. Made it to the end (took 10 minutes) and got 140 seals.

Second time, I was solo. It was *much* harder... Especially when they come from both sides at the same time. Ended up losing a lot of the cargo, and only got 50 seals. Also, it took about 14 minutes solo.

Third time, I was duo with a 29 PUG or something... But I might as well have been solo for how useful he was, lol. Ended with a little more than the 2nd time (70 seals), but... Yeah, it's definitely not an easy task if you are doing solo. And I'd say CON or THM still have it the easiest (ranged plus can AOE most damaging spells).

Dragged my boyfriend and picked up a friendly stranger to try this as a party. The three of us were pretty successful, breaking up between a foreperson, someone to manage the chocobos, and someone to guard the rear. We only lost about 1-2 packs in a pincer attack. We all got 75 seals for the successful completion, which according to the NPC was an inflated amount due to the current event. Seemed like an extremely low reward for all that work times three persons. If I didn't require a party I would have been more fine with that, but I felt a little sheepish after asking people to help with practically nothing to show for it.

Oh well, hopefully there will be a lodestone achievement or something silly to that nature. maybe it'll get easier down the road.

I've gone to this NPC at bloodshore multiple times but upon talking to both NPCs I can't trigger this. (I assumed it was a do it whenever) but it seems to be on a timer, does someone have confirmation on its timer for this event, I'm assuming on the hour?

    ;( I'm a bit confused if its not on a timer~ Thanks

You need to be Private Third Class for the correct Grand Company to start it. Did it with a lvl 50 ARC and me lvl 29 THM, got perfect 100 Seals

;( I am private third class and I was trying to start it on my 50Conj with a 50MRD also who is private third class, we thought maybe it was because we were in party, disbanded and still couldn't trigger it. We're both from The Maelstrom and attempted to start @ Bloodshore. Anyone else having this issue?

First you talk to the NPC at Camp, then proceed to the highlighted area and speak to the NPC with the flag (and 3 Chocobos). There is of course a sort of timer, maybe around 20 mins.

Wow ha! Didn't even check the map to see if it was highlighted, I"ll try next time thanks. (Although when I talked to the first 2 NPC's at the camp I didn't see anything pop up or them saying "go to this area" nonetheless, thanks much<3
