I'd like this, but... why would it have to involve obscene prices and lots of crafting? @_@ Can't it just be a drop off primals.

So that would, assuming they don't give dragoon medium armour, be about... fifteen pieces per Primal, for five slots ((It's Head, Body, Gloves, Pants, Boots, right, I'm not missing anything?)) times three sets.

At... eight... Primals, nine with GK Moogle Mog, ten at Bahamut, we'd have 120, 135, or 150 new pieces of armour. I'm thinking I'd like trade in drops or craftable drops so I could get could just get fifteen drops from each primal rather than fifteen SPECIFIC drops per Primal. Even then I'm running these trials... maybe a combined 500 times ((the 120 times four for middle of the party rolls, rounded up for drops that aren't armour or armour related.))

... What, I like clothes. Of course I'd work on getting them all.

Thought about this the other day. We get Primal weapons, which are cool, but how much cooler it would be to be completely clad in Primal armor along with the weapon and then maybe get a big elemental resistance bonus (even though it would be useless and the armor itself wouldn't be BiS anyways).

I can see DoW getting fancy specially designed armor that fits the job while DoM having the healers getting the same uninspired robe with minor changes littered with gold designs and the mages getting a cowl with glowing parts. Can't say i'd be too excited.

They'd have to not glow... Otherwise you'd be forced to wear the entire set to just not look silly. And it'd have to be full sets for each primal, otherwise you look really really rainbow if it went along the lines of "Ifrit helm, Garuda Legs...."

Well if it was a cowl you really wouldn't see the helm or legs, lol. Nyan Miqo'tes could be a new thing.

Says the person with a chocobo helm :P

I think the way they did the PvP armor would be a good route in design for the primal armor.

Let's just have some primal Savage modes that drop them like the others drop gear and weapons.

You already look a tad silly mixing and matching many sets.
Some mixes work nicely, I'll admit, but others not so much. I don't see the problem with glowing. At least on Ifrits set we need an ember glow!
Maybe Ramuhs could have some electrical arching. You know, just stuff that matches the weapons!
