This isnt enough to say that full healing = more commendations.

    Some problems with this:

    * First and Foremost: Was there an overlying global pattern of players giving more or less commendations throughout the months this experiment was conducted?
    * pool of WHMs was not large enough.
    * The time of the runs was never taken into consideration i.e. was there an overall correlation between runtime and number of commendations awarded?
    * Would the cleric stance runs have received more commendations had the healing threshold been higher?
    * The timing of this seems weird. The experiment lasted 4 months and the results were posted just a few days ago. Was this all of this done prior to the release of HW? if so, why did it take ~2 months to post results? The data is also possibly irrelevant now because the dungeons being used for testing are substantially easier to be over-geared for.

Who cares about commendations? I don't want a dungeon to take an extra 5 minutes because I decided not to cut on cleric stance for the run. That's my choice. Just like the guy who doesn't like to cut on cleric stance for whatever reason. I don't really care. I'd rather have the dungeon end sooner rather than later.

The OP is looking far too into this.

Oh, there's still a very strong case for DPSing. I just found it interesting to see how others perceive it...

I'll be honest, i don't feel comfortable while healing and DPSing, of course, i do it but i don't feel ok doing it. People at my server don't complain at all about healing and dpsing which is good >_> .

I've personally not noticed much of a difference with most parties but slightly more favourable to doing some DPS at least from the runs where I got a great deal of comms. The most recent high scores were 6 comms in two A3 runs where I juggled heals with DPS. It was somewhat tactical helping out on adds using assize to damage the first wave while slowing and stunning the adds before they walk to the edge so the DPS can burn then down with me. On boss kept up DoT's and did damage while keeping up Media II and regen on tank with buffs and tetra/cures when needed. Clearly people noticed what I was doing. I started them decently too using holy, assize,Aero III on the trash mobs to help nuke them down while using esuna to keep poison stacks off buffs etc.

If you are putting in the extra effort I find people do notice though occasionally a Tank dies due to poor CD management and gets a bit sassy pants over me doing DPS.

The commendations of players who lack the basic awareness to distinguish between an unskilled or lazy player making busy with gratuitous heals and an actively contributing healer maximizing their role do not interest me.

Meh. I don't DPS for Comms. Every time I queue as a Healer, I ensure that no matter what DPS I'm paired with, the run wont slow down to a snail's pace.

I had a tank today, yelling at me '' Omg, don't go into Cleric!!!! '' the entire way through. Constantly.......
Even tho nobody died, and I never let him drop bellow 60%. It's almost as if they think that they're going to just immediatly die or something if they're not topped off at all times xD.
I usually think it's fine to stay in cleric until tank drops to around 60%. Yet, some people just seem to have the idea that the healer should stand there and do nothing for valuable seconds, and keep everyone at 100% all of the time.

As if they stay bellow 100% for even a second, they would just EXPLODE or something :P...
    You wont.... I promise.

I never give my coms to the healers or tanks in the party. I always give it to the dps even if they did bad. The dps never get enough credits for runs.

Mayhap this is just my own personal pessimism acting up, but rewards for bad behaviour only serve to beget more bad behaviour. Commending a DPS who ran ahead of the party to engage on the next pack of enemies simply tells them that such a thing is desired activity even though it is disrespectful to the wishes of the tank and, often as not, to the rest of the party, in addition to potentially placing the group in a dangerous situation by forcing the tank to become involved in a situation they avoided specifically because they were ill-equipped to deal with it. There is a very good reason that some tanks and healers have adopted the policy of, as goes the popular saying, "You spank it, you tank it." Myself and my static healer included.
