Tales of the Dragonsong War: Recurring Theme (MSQ spoiler)

So I was reading through the little short stories they've been releasing about the Dragonsong war and while it's great to know more about these characters, they all seem to have something in common. All of them died in the Main Story Questline. While this may just be a circumstance of the fact that there were a lot of deaths in the Heavensward story line, but it could have detailed someone like Hilda the Mongrel, whose background could be fleshed out a lot more and was involved in the conflict against Thordan. If the fact that all of these characters are dead really is a theme, then what could the 4th Dragonsong War tale be about?

The only characters who I can think of that the 4th story may be about are either Archbishop Thordan or Lahabrea. If it's about Thordan, then it would confirm that death is the theme of these stories and it would be interesting to see more of Thordan during his younger years. I personally don't think Lahabrea is dead, but this story could be a way of spoiling that he isn't.
