Kukuru beans the game

So while trying to get rosewood, so I can make the new items in game, all I have been getting is Kukuru beans, no matter where I notch, no matter where in Halatali I only get beans.

I'm pretty sure in the past 4 hours of me doing this, I should have at least gotten more than 1 rosewood log, nope just 130nq beans and 42 +3 beans, I wouldn't be to upset if these beans sold or were worth something.

Sadly they are worthless garbage.

If anyone has any idea where to notch, because disciples of the land said -2 was where rosewood logs are, I start my chop at the top of the pie, and work my way down, but no matter where I go I fail, all i get is beans at the top of the pie.

What rank are you? You'll need to have the high enough stats to get the logs.
At 40 with optimal gear, I get about 1 log to 2 bean when I aim at the sweet spot.

I dunno they aren't terrible for leveling culinarian sometimes, if you happen to be relatively low level with it.

But yea it does kinda seem like even with the gathering changes everywhere has at least a couple useless items.

I got 4 rosewood while I was doing Halatali's leves for my 40 btn. They were a hundred times easier than Mahogany too. No idea on the sweet spot, I was just swinging away (I usually start at -1)

I've been getting about an equal occurrence of logs, branches, and beans on my r39 botanist.

ok I finally figured it out, -2 and then its about 75%of the way down from the top, it doesn't change. beans are always at the top of the pie, branches in the middle, logs 3/4.

I am now starting out at 3/4 and working my way to the others, I may just be a terrible noob, but whatever.

Oh you didn't know where they were "located" but I guess it's understandable since you didn't get any of em. But yea, it seems now that during the "chop" phase items have their own set locations now and its really nice, I've been completing trees extremely quickly.
