Why does scholar Esoteric gear have so few points in crit, compared to AST and WHM? This is probably a "duhh" thing, but I figure I'd ask. All that spell speed is peculiar, when the class typically benefits more from critical rating.

Typically they use this as an indirect method to balance the classes. Some of it can be subverted however by acquiring the raid set and mixing matching pieces to maximize secondaries.

There was mention of allowing players to open their personal houses to friends, will we also be able to do that with Alts also or will it just be people on the friends list?

It adds convenience, and to me convenience trumps everything else. Never understood the people who forced other people into playing how they want, it would be like if pro-flyers demanded ground mounts be removed.

That argument was used on the WoW forums as well...by people who would force others to play in a world where there was flight. Simply having flight affects the overworld. The way its designed for example.
I can only call such reasoning irony at its finest.
Please change or remove the Aura on Darkside.
Please let us choose secondary stats on gear.
Please give Au Ra horn choices.
Please add strength to tank gear/vitality to all gear.
What point would aerial combat serve when there's nothing in the air to fight?
EQ2's had mounted combat for years, and it still forces you to dismount in combat on flying mounts.
And flying *does* add to the game, whether or not you choose to believe it. Adds an entirely new axis to game play(z), giving your ground to work with, so to speak, without boring things like elevators.
And I'm pretty sure the mass exodus wow had right about the time they'd announced there wasn't ever going to be flying, plus the reluctant reintroduction of it to enact damage control, had nothing to do with removing flight.
Riiight.
With me, it was the fact that ground mounts are slow as hell and their attitude in that they think they know what we find fun, but we don't, that was my final straw.
